  • Here are the 5 teams in each sport that have gone the longest without winning a title .....in the city they are currently in.

    Baseball:

    Chicago Cubs since 1908

    Cleveland Indians since 1948

    Houston Astros since 1962

    San Diego Padres since 1969

    Milwaukee Brewers since 1970

    (notes: Brewers moved from Seattle in 1970; Rangers/Senators have not won since 1961....but they moved from DC to Dallas in 1972; Expos Nationals have not won since 1969 but moved to DC in early 2000s))

    Football:

    Detroit Lions since 1957

    Philadelphia Eagles since 1960

    Minnesota Vikings since 1961

    San Diego Chargers since 1963

    Cleveland Browns since 1964

    (notes: Cardinals have not won since 1947, but have moved...and been in AZ only since 1988, Titans/Oilers have not won since 1961....but move to Tenn. in 1997)

    Basketball:

    Denver Nuggets since 1967

    Phoenix Suns since 1968

    Atlanta Hawks since 1969

    Cleveland Cavs since 1970

    Milwaukee Bucks since 1971

    (notes: Hawks moved from St. Louis in 1969; Sacramento Kings have not won since 1951....but have moved 3 times to Cincy/KC/Sac. Clippers have not won since 1970, but they made 2 moves: SD/LA)

    Hockey:

    Toronto Maple Leafs since 1967

    St. Louis Blues since 1967

    Vancouver Canucks since 1970

    Buffalo Sabres since 1970

    Washington Capitals since 1974

    Cleveland has 3 teams on these lists.

    Milwaukee, Buffalo and San Diego have 2 each.

    Every other city named has just one.

    NY and LA though have none

    I can read through some of the real threads on here and tell we are the brightest. Skip over the irrational posts and you will see. And I honestly think Ohio/Midwest has the best looking people in the U.S. IMO. Plus, no other city could sustain 3 major sports franchises that have been this mediocre for this long.
