about what I thought we would get...which is why I wasnt crazy about it. Even if it is a first, it is going to be basically a second(denver isnt likely to lose their next 8 haha).....and we give up a fourth. so basically about a second in return. Not bad and it opens up some cap space, but I would rather have had thomas for a couple more years.

but denver has made 2 moves that puts them in great position to challenge pats rest of way.....adding a playmaking tight end which they needed and now more help on o-line.

cool....didnt get done. This tells you something about what we would have given up thomas for though.....maybe denver wanted a third instead, or maybe we wanted to not give up the fourth but a 5th. Something like that.

If we gave up JT + a 3rd, for Denver's 1st and 2nd - I would be in the crowd of torches and pitchforks for Farmer's head.

Earlier report said we wanted 1st + Shaq Barrett, something like that is probably closer to the truth of what we would have taken for JT.

Wouldn't have been comfortable with a front office on the hot seat making this move. Woulda had to been a slam dunk and since it doesn't sound like any offer was I am pleased.
