Housler waived

[Opal312]

Did Housler just not get any playing time? Or was it an injury related waive? What do you think?

[gftChris]

He was on IR. Hopefully they like what they see from Bibbs and feel comfortable letting Housler go as the TE3. He didn't bring much when healthy - a yard a game? Come on, anyone here could get that.

His contract was guaranteed, Housler's was not. I can surmise that that is the only difference.

and....we have other TE's available.....while our WR corps is fairly depleted right now.....(plus, Bowe is healthy, Houslers not)

So, good chance Bowe could start or play next game......that wasnt gonna happen with Housler

[gftChris]

Bowe played last time with Hartline and Hawkins out. Now Hawkins and Gabe are out, Bowe might get a chance, though coming off the bye week I guess not.

He was already on season-ending IR. It was just a financial decision, non-guaranteed 1-year contract, as someone pointed out.

Not unusual to make an injury settlement with guys on last year of contract.

Plus, he blows.

Shouldn't matter. Zero contribution is zero contribution.

Actually JMan was able to find him a couple of times the one game they were in together that I recall. So at least there is that.

Sure, but it matters that Haslam has to pay him. If it were a non-guaranteed contract and he could be cut....he would probably be gonzo.....but since he could still collect his cool 9 million, Haslam doesn't want him sitting at home dipping in his pool while earning his bucks......he wants him to at least be in the building, working, practicing.....and maybe actually playing in a game.

Bye Felicia.

Did we sign anyone?

Oh yea, Bibbs is still on the team. Good. Barnidge is tearing it up and is winning me my fantasy games.
