  • Haven't seen enough to pass any sort of opinion on it. If Hue thinks he is worth it, getting a starting QB going forward for the 2nd doesn't sound too bad.

  • I was simply throwing it out to ponder. You have a QB who didn't play all that bad in relief and should have got a playoff win if not for Jeremy Hills fumble. The last drive where the touchdown was scored to put Cincy up was a very nice drive in a big moment. McCaron also knows Hue system meaning he will be able to hit the ground running.

In this draft, you have a bunch of QBs that appear to be projects. If none are worth the #2 pick then are any available at #32 really better than AJ McCaron day 1?

  • Bitch, please.

  • Is he a free agent? Will he bring his wife to pose like naked for us?

    My lord...

  • AJ McCarron... flavor of the month member since 12/2015...

  • We already have two AJ Mccarrons. They're named "Austin Davis" and "Connor Shaw".

So, no, the Browns will not be trading for a third.

I agree, there's no way the Bungles are going to part with McCarron- short of something stupid. The fans love him (to the point some of the Cinci crackheads want to dump Dalton, and keep AJ). & Marvin Lewis saw the value of keeping him around as a valuable spot starter, in case Andy decides to reprise his role as a tackling dummy.

  • Why do some of you even think hes a good backup. I watched just about every game he started. Dude is awful. Johnny looks like tom brady compared to aj. I would trade a 2nd rnder for his smokin hot wife though.

  • Aj mccarron will take over for Dalton winth 3 years

  • i didn't watch enough of the kid to say, would he be worth a 3rd? would they give him up for a 3rd?

  • *sigh*

If McCarron was the future face of the Bengals franchise they wouldn't trade him to a divisional rival = #1

Second, he hasn't really proved anything and he only cost them a 5th round pick. Our future is not going to come from a 5th round pick selected by a divisional rival = #2

Mccown would look like an pro bowler on that Bengals team with all the ridiculous talent and the best coach in the history of the world (Hue), McCarron looked OK - Dalton looked like a superstar.

  • I like him but you're right. I thought he might be better than waiting for another to develop in a mediocre draft class. That's all. If we had taken a QB two years ago we wouldn't be in the same predicament. I hate to see Bosa go to someone else because we still need a first round for a QB. ITS TIRING

Hand to God my first take was:

  • Well, if we are doing a twilight zone thread, let's bring Mike Glennon into the episode...

  • i didn't watch enough of the kid to say, would he be worth a 3rd? would they give him up for a 3rd?

Please- before the season started, NFL.com had our very own Austin Davis ranked ahead of him. Ditto TJ Yates.

As BB and myself have pointed out- THE BENGALS WILL NOT TRADE HIM TO THE BROWNS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES- Will all McCarron nuthuggers please get that through your heads?

Well, they might- if we offered our #2 overall for him. LOLOLOL!!!!!

If we're going to waste a third round on a developmental qb- we take Cardale Jones, who probably has more upside than McCarron.
