Can Bosa actually play OLB'er?

So Gipper is choosing to simultaneously believe we know some things about QBs but not others in order to make his point?
These QBs are highly regarded. Are we going to wait for the stars to align when we're picking 2 and Luck 2.0 is there? We'll never take a QB then...
A week before the combine all the guys like Mayock and Kiper were saying that neither Goff nor Wentz, the only two guys you could make some semblance of a case for at #2, both were not ready to play in the NFL. Nothing that either guy did at the combine says that's changed much. They're projects. Period. From a purely football standpoint they're bigger projects than JM. Obviously they're not the mental midgets he is so they have that going for them. We saw how JM struggled when he got thrown in there in his 1st year, these guys will look no better whatsoever if they have to start at some point next year due to an injury. We're literally using the #2 pick on a 3rd stringer if we take either of those guys. Yeah they could potentially compete for the job in year two, but winning the Browns starting job isn't saying much when you look at who are QB's are.
Stop giving a shit? How many years has this been a threat now?
I understand the trust issue, but this is a new regime. The track record of the ghosts of FOs past is not germane.

First, GTFO with any JM comparison... we know the kid never bothered to learn the playbook year 1. And other than being taller, in what way are Goff and Wentz "bigger projects"?
Second, not ready to start Day 1 is not the same as "projects". In the past five years there have been at most two, "ready to start" QBs drafted, Luck and Winston. Yet several more did through a combination of rapid development, narrower than expected gap and circumstance, e.g., Dalton,
Third, "all did not"... Goff has been pronounced the most pro ready and therefore the best choice for us because he could step in Game 1. The beauty is we don't need him to do so.

I say Bosa goes # 1 anyway. Tunsil lands in SD.

1) There will always be the older guys who will give a shit no matter what, it's the young kids that seem to not give a shit...and I know that cause all my buddies with kids have the same complaint. It's very difficult for them to make their kids care about the Browns. My one buddy has season tickets and almost has to bribe his kid to go with him. If you don't see the brewing problem there than you need to stop for a minute and think...
2) What we know about JM is hindsight. Think about at the time of the draft....he was being compared to Russell and pretty much game ready. I didn't hear anyone say about JM that he absolutely needed to sit for a year or two like I've heard talk about Wentz and Goff. I really don't know myself, i'm not good at evaluating QB play. I'm a trench guy, I played in the trenches...my eye can pick up on good trench play. So I can only go off what the consensus heads have been saying.
But I acknowledge they're changing their tune now. And that always has me worried when they change after a combine or pro day performance.....ie JM.

There was plenty of talk about Manziel needing to change his game to transition to the NFL, that his skillset wasn't suited to NFL play, that he needed to learn how to play from the pocket etc - are you just selectively forgetting that?
There was hope for him, sure, that he could do that, and then let his improv skills naturally take him to the next level, but it just didn't happen.
Now, who exactly - apart from EmDiggy and Gipper - has been saying goff and wentz are second round picks?

at the start of the combine the guys on TV at the NFL network went out of their way to say look these guys cannot nor will not see the field next year. They didn't shit on them, but they made it clear these guys were no where near ready to step on the field under any but the most dire of circumstances. I believe one of the older guys even said that because of a need these guys might go high but, in his words, it "will" be an overreach. The panel agreed with him. They didn't say these guys were shit, just said they were not worth where they probably would get picked cause teams were desperate....ie the Browns, whose name was brought up as a distinct possibility.
Nobody said these guys wouldn't be good NFL QB's to be clear. They just said they're not worth anywhere near top 10 picks based on just pure BPA. So i'm sorry after years of doing this shit I want BPA. I want players on this team that produce now. Bosa, Spence, Buckner...all could still be misses. But I'd rather roll the dice on guys that not just played against the best talent in the league but also showed that they're fundamentals stayed intact even under duress.

I'd give that a lot more credence if you could find a quote to back it up to be honest, because I missed the first part of the QB workout. The only negative thing I heard was some questioning of arm strength, but that was directly contradicted by others.

At the start of the combine, the guys on TV said that Carson Wentz and Jared Goff would be the next Peyton Manning and Tom Brady and that Carson Wentz will finish his career with a 100% completion percentage and Jared Goff will switch to lefty halfway through his career because throwing with his right hand just isn't fair.
This is really easy.

I read somewhere on the internet that Bosa can play safety,CB, OLB, and DE.

He throws a mean back shoulder fade as well.

But how big are his hands?
"The guy is 6'5", 270lbs, he's blue chip, blue collar, he's built for the AFC north, comes from a great program and had great production in college"

All defenses are the same and not much different from offense. Play him at QB.
I bet he's a heckuva full back. Maybe he can play TE?

Respectively??? Details are important...

One Post From the Truth said:
Thanks. I guess he is the real deal then now the question....BPA or team need?
You know, if this was Belichick evaluating carson or wentz and drafting one of them for the Browns....ok in that case i'd give Belichick the benefit of the doubt even though you know he'd want one of these defensive studs in this draft. THe Browns are like 0-40 on QB's in the last 17 years, so no I don't trust a single person in Berea that would say trust us he's "the guy" despite what you all see on tape. So yeah for me it's BPA. We've drafted for "need" too much the last couple years and that's why we have almost ZERO talent on both sides of the ball. Embarrassingly little talent on this team. I get it, they "thought' they were getting that talent in FA. But they didn't we know that now. So no more signing any players that are past their rookie deals. I'm sorry but that's how I see it. Draft BPA unless you already have some major talent at that position than draft the next best player. Get playermakers on this team or people are going to very shortly stop giving a shit about the Browns.

But now we have Sushi and Hoo and analytics to help the Browns along.
As far as I'm concerned, if Bosa get's past Tn at #1, we should take him as BPA.
