Scooby Wright is the Hidden Gem for the Browns
-
This whole draft class is impressive... and Scooby lasted until the 7th round...
I can't wait til he proves himself as a player... it won't take long.

I have good feelings about most of the guys we drafted, with the exception of the DBs, and the Princeton guy (mainly because we could have gotten someone else and picked him up later). Scooby was a favourite on here before we drafted him, got to be the most popular 7th round pick in a long, long time.
Kinda reminds me of Pierre Desir - hope he has a breakout year.

Are you out of your mind? This guy moves like a fat ass soul singer. Jerky, small steps and he is weak......extremely weak. He lasted until 7 because he blows. This guy will get run over and annihilated.
Ghoulie, field strength was supposed to be one of his main talents. That was the scouting report on him. Maybe not that fast inastraight line but very quick intje box, and very strong upper body....thats a direct quote. Arizona sometimes used him out on the edge and had him bullrush the tackle. He's not weak

God dammit, so weak. Only 5th among linebackers. Weak as shit. Fucking weakling.
-
He needs work though, if he is a starter this year its more about how bad out lb corp is.
-
Sure. I'm not saying he's instant all-pro like Joe Thomas. But he has good instincts and, hopefully, enough athleticism to allow them to show.
We'll probably be rolling with Kirksey and Davis starting at ILB, with Scooby backing up Davis. Davis is hardly stellar though, so who knows what the snap split will look like by game 16.

Among ilb'ers only one guy had more reps at 27 vs his 22

Anybody that looks at his tape, weak is not a word that comes to mind

Ray Lewis was 6'1", 240.
Scoobie is 6', 239, 6'1", 247 per Wikipedia
. I believe he will tackle just fine. He lasted because he had a knee injury. He was a great pick.

Well, cal's convinced. And we all know, there's no changing his mind once that happens

Never let the facts get in the way of a troll who verbalizes like he's a 12yr old bullying his smallest classmate.

He had the #1 20-yard shuttle time among all LB in the draft.
That directly measures his short-area quickness -- eg, recognize and fill the correct gap.
He wouldn't win a 100-yard dash, but the job you need an ILB to do -- move between the tackles -- he does quite well.

This is what u see in his tape. Pads and arms down ready to shed, moving extremely quickly to the ball. The guys gap fill was off the charts in college. If he can read half that good at this level he'll already be better thsn all our ilb'ers last year. What have some of here been raging on about our ilb'ers for years now? They're never in the right gap

There is NO reason he cannot be the NEXT Ray Lewis.
Ray Lewis said it himself, it's all about effort. And effort is between you and you. Leave it all out there on the field Wright. You can be as good as you want to be.

I like Scooby too & it's largely due to what PG states above. This kid personifies effort, instincts, & intensity.
We'll just have to wait & see, won't we?
