    Michael Vick!?!

I'd rather play Pryor at QB.

I'd rather have zombo or calfox as quarterback.

    Healthier than RG3.

What did they ever do to you? 😉

No one commented on this thread since yesterday's event.

My original point was right on: I said: "what would happen if McCown gets hurt, we cannot trust the team to a not ready for prime time rookie.

Clearly the result of the game proved me correct. McCown breaks his shoulder and the HC dare not turn the team over to Kessler. He would rather a one armed McCown be in there. But after McCown was hurt, he wasn't the same. He was badly inaccurate due to the injury. He should not have been playing, but he had to.

We very well may have LOST this game because the team did not heed my advice of bringing in a veteran backup. Not a single point scored after Josh's injury.

Now, it seems, we may not need to bring in a veteran backup.....we need to bring in a veteran starting QB.

Stay tuned Gip. If Josh is out for 6-8 weeks, you may get your wish. Personally, we already have a guy on the roster with QB experience- Pryor. According to PFR, 20 starts. Not great, but are you going to tell me any of the retreads currently out there are any better? And at least he's mobile.

Pryor is more valuable to us where he is at this point: WR. Except for an occasional trick play, we have no business having him be our starting QB.

Of course, the Browns are now in competion: Brady out, Garropolo also now down with injury. Pats may be looking as well:

Setting aside the self-aggrandizing bullshit that might even make Ghoolie blush...

    • What changed that now requires looking for a "veteran starter"?
    • What were McC's pre- vs. post-injury stats?

    • NOTHING....we needed one before, that was the point of this thread. Or, actually, yes, something did change: our starter and our backup are both out with injury.
    • What were McC's pre- vs. post-injury stats?
    • 20 points in one quarter...2 TD passes. After that: no points, all kinds of missed receivers.

The most sensible call right now is to Elway to pay for Austin Davis after releasing him lol
