An trump wants em to make upgraded hornets if the f-35 continues to flounder. It aint good if both our 5th gen projects fall flat. Never understood why they terminated the 22 which imo is a far superior air to air fighter thsn the 35, but let the 35 go on this long as the pos that it is. Makes no sense. It seems like the 35 had major political backing the 22 never had

historically, plenty of aircraft didn't go into production, but were instrumental in the development of new tech.

As for thevtyphoon being able to turn with it im not surprised. The typhoon is a remarkable dogfighter, as good as any rooskie. But it has zero stealth. The 22 has max stealth and can still turn with the typhoon or any mig. This is why i was so perplexed at how bad the 35 was reported to be in dogfighting if its supposed to be a step up from the 22
