Here is a list of the Top 100 Free Agents still unsigned from Walter Football:

    1. Nick Mangold OC, age 33

    2. Jonathan Hankins DT 25

    3. Adrian Peterson RB 32

    4. Gerald Hodges ILB 26

    5. Perry Riley ILB 29

    6. Brandon Flowers CB 31

    7. Jay Cutler QB 34

    8. Elvis Dumerville DE/OLB 33

    9. Isa Abdul-Quddus S 28

    10. DeAndre Levy OLB 30

    11. Sen'Derrick Marks DT 30

    12. Jared Odrick DE/DT 29

    13. Ladarius Webb S 31

    14. Jamal Charles RB 30

    15. Sam Shields CB 29

    16. Evan Mathis OG 35

Could any of these be a better fit at a position of need for the Browns than would be a draft pick?

It's odd Hankins hasn't been picked up?

Per this, his agents may be making outrageous, unreasonable demands:

Also, someone commented earlier that, at least for the Browns, he may not fit the Gregg Williams scheme. But that does not explain why 31 other teams have not yet bitten on him..... The contract demands may be the reason.

Having big Hank would be nice but redundancy with Danny being up front is an issue.

    Still - one can dream.

Not if Browns are in 4-3. It never hurt the Panzer division to have more than one tank on the front line..

Yep-it's also why I try to get one in my mock draft relatively early. I really hope Bryant has recovered fully even though he is now 31. Need another soon.

Got anything on Tracy Porter CB Bears cut today. He's 30, but seemed descent till knee last season? It's not like we don't have the cap to pay big hank. He certainly can't hurt. Maybe that big Jimmy G,contract got it locked up πŸ˜„

43 34 - makes little difference between the two. Only exception being in a more 2 gap oriented scheme you might want that bigger body.

Seems like a premature topic considering the post draft cuts that might come.

  • It's odd Hankins hasn't been picked up?

Honestly don't see a single "must have" name on that list...

Not when you consider his asking price...

OK...by cuts, I assume you mean that the Browns will release certain players currently on the roster after they draft their 11 players plus UDFAs?

That brings up a question: I believe the Browns are entitled to have 90 players on their roster during minicamps etc. No?

How many do they have on the roster now? And do they have enough room for anyone they draft plus UDFAs?

Adrian Petersen for a 1 year deal. He will make some plays for sure.

Two reasons why I do not believe they will go that way: 1. Age. He is 32, and if you have not noticed, the Browns are on a youth kick. B. Price. He will want more than they are likely willing to pay for a RB of that age.

And a third reason: In my opinion, Peterson should go to a team that is ready to make a deep playoff run, where a veteran RB like him can help in that cause. The Browns are clearly not that team. This is more for his sake than the Browns sake.

What team out there could use him in that situation?

Some have said YOUR Raiders may be in the market for him. Seahawks? Hell, maybe the Pats...if they are losing Blount. Anyone else?

But his "asking price" can certainly be adjusted after everyone has said "NO", which, apparently, everyone has.

The Browns are probably in better position to give him something close to what he is asking, give their cap space. Not that the Browns even with that want to be spendthrifts.
