There is always a chance. Oklahoma, Penn st. FMU would be challenges.

Just ran across an article on Urban Meyers assistant coaches staff and their salaries, a brief summary of their background.

From $300,000 to $700,000 not a bad gig if you can get one as an assistant.
Oh the head coaches 2016, not bad in the BIG TEN. (top 14 of 128)
http://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/salaries/
......School pay....other pay...total pay...max bonus...bonus paid...assist total pay
1 Michigan Big Ten Jim Harbaugh $9,004,000 -- $9,004,000 $1,325,000 $0 $4,308,750

14 Michigan State Big Ten Mark Dantonio $4,300,000 $0 $4,300,000 $650,000 $475,000 $3,445,09
Whoa talk about CEO type pay! (but CEOs have golden parachutes and don't get fired as much....but deserve to more often)
If you look closely only Clemson and LSU pay all the assistants more than the HC.

We have a lot of wealthy alums providing donations

We have a lot of wealthy alums providing donations
Obviously and most big schools have a lot rich and powerful alums and boosters....sometimes it can be a problem.
-
One anonymous donor paid for the entire football teams trip to Rome.
I believe Stephen Ross (dolphins owner) donated $500 million when I was going there

Either that or it is proof that your priorities are out of whack. Actually its all these big schools, not just youzers. FUM is just the worst offender.

I'd respond, but I think we'd fall into the rabbit hole of Gipper not knowing what he's talking about again.

All of the top 72 D-1A coaches were paid at least $1 million per year in 2016.
QUESTIONS: Does a higher salary generally make teams better?
Are NCAA coaches worth the big bucks they get in this coaches arms race?
Did you notice the disparity in the B1G schools in coaching salaries?
-
I think any Michigan fan would tell you Harbaugh has been more than worth his salary.

Maybe some honest BUCKEYE fans too, started to smell like the great "Bo vs Woody era" again. I remember back then even seeing the "Goody, goody Bo beat Woody" bumper stickers in Ohio....crazy move, I guess you don't care if your car gets trashed. Good era of football.
"Jim vs Urban The Game v2.0" hasn't got that same feeling...yet. Jim will have to knock off an undefeated Urban first.

A loss by an inch in double OT in Columbus with some bad calls didn't do it for ya?

Nope, 11-0 each and winner gets top seed in the playoffs. (Seems strange still saying playoffs, oh who won the first ever NCAA D-1A playoff Championship game? Hint:not "m".
)GO BUCKEYES, BROWNS, INDIANS, CAVS, YSU, NAVY and yes I like ND! -
I'd respond, but I think we'd fall into the rabbit hole of Gipper not knowing what he's talking about again.

You never know what you are talking about ever. You can't even get your info about FUM right.

If not for the bad calls that went against OSU it would not have been nearly as close. Bad calls kept FUM in the game.

)The same 2 teams played in both the first ever NCAA football tournament championship game, and the first ever NCAA Basketball tournament championship game. The results were the opposite thought. Oregon won the basketball.
