Though, this article doesn't make any sense...it says:

Ready to go check out the new-look Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy? Anxious to see rookies Myles Garrett, David Njoku, and Jabrill Peppers take the field in their debuts as first-round picks? The Cleveland Browns released single-game ticket buying information.

Season ticket holders can now purchase individual game tickets for the eight home dates on the 2017 calendar.

Why would season ticket holders...only (apparently) be allowed to buy single game tickets? Why not anyone. Season ticket holders already got their tickets.

its a presale before the general public, for instance, I need 2 tics for the opener for my daughter so she can attend with us. It's a perk we enjoy so we can bring guests. I looked for the opener and all that was available was 300 club level.

OK, thanks. Though, this is July 10th. The regular season begins in less than 2 months. I believe the schedule has been out since mid April. And correct me if I am wrong...but you all may have purchased your season tickets long before the schedule was released. Fair to say? Why would they not give you a window right after the schedule was released of say 6 weeks to buy those extra game tickets? Then start general ticket sales on say July 1st? That just makes good business sense to me...to have that ticket money in the bank? (though....can the Browns business sense be said to be any better than their on field performance?)

I am sure they hold out those few months because they are still trying to sell season tickets. As soon as they sell a open seat for a game, they are unable to potentially sell it as a season ticket. The pre-sale allows season ticket holders a chance to pick up some extra seats for family and friends. One of the perks.

    Fair point.
