    1. Pittsburgh v. Dallas   (rematched twice)

        Buffalo v. Dallas

        SF v. Cincinatti

    2.  Buffalo

    6..  L.A. Coliseum

    12B.  L.A. Coliseum

  • Here is a first set of Trivia regarding the NFL etc.  Championship games.....including the NFL Championship game marketed as the Super Bowl...but not just that.  Have a go:

    1.  The Patriots vs. Eagles is rematch of the 2004 Super Bowl. This will be the 6th Super Bowl rematch.  Name the other 5 "Super Bowl rematches".

    2. No team has ever won 3 Super Bowls in a row.   The best that has ever been done in that regard is that a couple of teams have won 3 out of 4. Name these teams...including their era.

    3. Name those teams that have appeared in 3 straight Super Bowls.  Win or lose.

    4. How many of the current 32 NFL teams have never won a Super Bowl.     A number will suffice, but if you wish to name them you may.

    5. Name the only team that ever made the Super Bowl as a member of both the NFL/NFC  and the AFL/AFC.

    6. What stadium has hosted the most Super Bowls?

    7. What team has lost the most Super Bowls?

    8. A. What team has won the most Championship games (NFL/AFL/Super Bowls)  since the original official NFL Championship game held in 1933?

    B. What team has lost the most Championship games in that same period?

    9. Since that first 1933 game, which Championship game (NFL/AFL/Super Bowl)  had the highest attendance?

    10. Since 1933 what team had appeared in the most consecutive Championship games? (NFL/AFL/Super Bowl)

    11. What two states are tied for having had their teams win the most Championships, since 1920?  (NFL/AAFC/AFL)?

    12. A.  Which Stadium was the very first official NFL Championship game played in in 1933?

    B. In which stadium was the very first Super Bowl played in?   See a hint below in the bonus on this:

Bonus:   Of all the stadiums in which an NFL or AFL Championship game was held between the onset of Championship games in 1933, and the onset of the Super Bowl in 1966, only 4 of those stadiums are still in existence. (All others have been demolished).  Two of those stadiums are also the answers to Q. 12.  Name them...and the other two that still exist.

I didn't count Rams, so the only wrong one was Tampa, as nickers said. Though it was a stupid mistake by myself.

Perhaps your answer augurs another bonus question:

    Which franchises have:

    A. Won a Super Bowl in a different city

    B. or won an NFL/AFL title in a different city

Hint on the Bonus:    two of these stadiums are still being used by NFL teams today.  The other is still being use by another well known entity...and the third is still being used for college games.

Since this was not part of my official quiz, I will give thes answers:

    A. Raiders...also won in LA.    Rams.....won in St. Louis    Colts...won in Baltimore

    B. Chargers...won AFL in San Diego    Chiefs...won AFL in Dallas   Titans...won AFL as Houston Oilers.

There's too much writing it makes my brain hurt.

Ok, 9 Rose Bowl......although I changed from Coliseum,  soon to be Mexico City?  😮

OK I'm going for the bonus question and the double points:

The Coliseum, Cotton Bowl, Soldier Field and.....uhhh.... Mile High?

Only the Coliseum is correct.  Soldier Field was an excellent guess....and very warm, but not right.

Sounds easy but almost all of the old popular stadiums are gone!

Bonus: Coliseum, ah ha Qualcom, Tulane and SF Keysar? Might not be used but still exist.

Kezar stadium, per se, does not really exist.  The field is still there...but the stadium....except for a single gateway entrance arch is gone.  The field has a track around it,  and is probably used for soccer, and with some smaller stands which seem to be about as many seats as a high school stadium.

Those first two were Super Bowl Stadiums....they did not host pre Super Bowl championships.   The Chargers played their AFL title games at Balboa Stadium aka Jepsen Park.     The Saints never existed before there was a Super Bowl...so they never hosted any title games there between 1933 and 1966.
