I am not saying anything bad about Mayfield, but remember how much crap we gave to Weeden in 2012. He was 5-10 as starter.
Baker may not reach that!! Ahh..the good old days!!

No, he is not but what will it take to get a QB that will take us farther than 5 wins....

Wrs that can get open and catch. Offensive line that can provide pass protection and running holes.

Pretty sure the OL and wr has something to do with it.

Baker has shown an understanding (and love) of the game that Wheezy never did.
I am still being patient.
That said... yes, I'd like to see a little improvement in Baker's play week-to-week... and I'm not.
Some of that is due to Higgins' loss...
Some of that is due to OL play (especially OT play), but getting the protection right is one of the QB's responsibilities and free runners are a sign that the QB is not getting his protections "right".
And this is all despite signs of a more dynamic run game...
