Pre Draft Trade ....Dorsey Not Involved

  • I'm glad this went through now and not when I was drafting for the Seahawks.

Anyway, good guy Nero drafted Ed Oliver (DT) with #21 and Ben Banogu (OLB/EDGE) with #125 to fill that hole.

I didn't expect it to be a draft week trade, I suspected that they would go that way in the draft to have some leverage in order to resign him in a team friendly deal.

Looks like Frank Clark going from Seahawks to Chiefs for a 2019 1st round pick (29) a 2020 2nd round pick and a swap of mid round picks this year ....

Same amount of sacks that Dee Ford had last year. Why not just re-sign Ford and keep your picks?

I listened to an analysis of this on TV....and they said that it was a matter of fit within the defense they want to run.  Apparently the Chiefs feel that Clark would be a much better fit.   He is an every down player because he is also very good vs. the run, where Ford...not so much.  At least that was the opinion of the talking heads on ESPN.

  • Deal done as per above with the swapped picks being in round 3 this year ......... does this mean we have to do our draft again 🙂

They still have to complete a physical before the draft.  If by chance Clark failed it, the deal could be called off before the draft begins.

  • a paid OBJ for picks #17 & #95 & Peppers .....Frank Clark for the 29th pick, 2020 2nd rounder & flip 3rds..KC pays big $$.. If you think Cleveland media has to much time on their hands? It's the crazy smoke screen season again. Always worse the few days before the draft.

  •  adding to the list..If we ever right-fully signed for a 36 year old, big eared Place kicker named Robbie Gould & that puss cried to be traded back to his Bears..Shanny should be aloud to drag that puss to the draft podem & kick him square in the nutz after announcing trade... 3Q2V.gif

  • I'm thinking Dorsey might bite on a trade for Patrick Peterson at the right price.  Cards need LB help.  Maybe something like:

    Browns get,

    Patrick Peterson and #65

    Cards get,

    Joe Schobert, #49, #80, #119

Dorsey will pay for productivity.  At least, that's his track record.  That would be my offer.  As an extra bonus, at #65 we'd get to pick right before the Pissrags.  Hopefully someone they would really want.

  • so who the fuck then plays inarguably then tje most important position on our defense? #65 in this years draft? i mean talk about tsking a promising defense then saying wait a second these tittys are just too big this needs a reduction...who wants smaller tittys?

  • I'm just speculating about the Joe rumors.  If true, he'll get moved somewhere for something.  Relax, it's make believe.  Your titties are fine.

  • It's like watching a draft chest game..Yesterday afternoon both Patrick Peterson & Chris Harris of Denver were rumored possible draft trade baits..Here's two teams that maybe looking at QB's with their first pick. but, Both teams 2nd need is a LB..Later that evening, suddenly out of nowhere. Joe Schobert name was thrown into the mix..Games for those sitting on GM Thones, imo..  EDit--NHL, Game 7, double OT 3-3..Go our bunch of Jerks Canes..Crap--itals take a seat!!

Soooooooooo...LB is the most important position on the D? You're very emotional C4L, and I think it causes you to miss the obvious. maybe, oh, I dunno, someone we pick up later can fill in for last year's worst tackler in the NFL?  Because unless we have a game to play next week, then we don't exactly need our starting lineup to be finalized today, do we?

Do you not think Dorsey can find a good player at 65? Or even later? Take a deep breathe and drop the smarter than Dorsey act. If we get onto camp with the current roster, then we can talk. But hand wringing before the draft is really, really a waste of time.

  • Bama's Mack Wilson might still be there @ 49 or we might move up just a tad to get him. He will have been trained for the NFL by Saban's coaches and should be ready to go day 1. No he's not White, but he's better than what we have at ILB right now.

Frank Clark is just scratching the surface with his potential. The guy’s rush is relentless
