Pro Bowl
-
Outside of the general gloom around here... Congrats to Jarvis Landry and Nick Chubb for making the Pro Bowl.
-
Pro Bowl has become superfluous. Held before the Super Bowl, so any SB participants cannot play....and half the other ones that are selected elect to opt out of playing.
They should make it like they do the draft now: have it held in all different non-traditional cities...like northern Dome cities and after the Super Bowl, and make it somewhat of a "celebration" of the league. At least you would have some enthusiasm from locals who don't get the SB very often.

Remember when one of their attempted fixes was to make it like fantasy football and holding drafts for each team (without regards to what conference they were in)? What a disaster that was.

As I see it, John Harbaugh coached a lot of mid-range talent to have Pro Bowl seasons...as overall, I think only maybe 2-3 of their guys would be considered top echelon talent.
So, give him credit.

What's your point? You keep saying this over and over.

The point seems pretty clear: John Harbaugh has done a masterful job and has clearly had his team playing way above their collective heads.
It is sort of like what Bum Phillips said about Bear Bryant: Bryant can take his'n and beat your'n, and then he can turn around and take your'n and beat his'n. ~ On Bear Bryant
And Bum said this: "How do you win? By getting average players to play good, and getting good players to play great. That is how you win"

That he's not wrong in his talent assessment of the Ravens... which he's been for at least 3 years running.
