My daughter is in Melbourne Australia and she has returned to their 2nd most strict (level 3?) restrictions 8 days ago, and I knew CA would follow fairly soon. My work is still open as I type this, but my neighbor who owns a pair of sushi restaurants just told me that this is the end for them and they have no idea what to do next (immigrant Asian family) and my heart just breaks for them.... such hard working, honest and nice people.

I've been researching the 1918 pandemic to see how it eventually disappeared, as I don't trust a single politician, media outlet or government agency to simply tell me the facts about our current situation. Based on my research, the good news is this too will disappear, the bad news is, well, everything else. We're 4+ months in and we will need 24-36 if it follows 1918.

As a side note, I now personally know someone who tested positive. My 55 year old 1st cousin in Utah felt sick for 4 days and was granted a test which came back positive. He isolated himself from his wife and 2 daughters for 12 days after the test, and on the 13th day after testing positive he climbed his local 7,200ft peak in Ogden Utah with his wife and 2 daughters (separate cars to and from the trail head).

^ This is my personal experience with COVID and most everyone has, or will have a story of their own, with varying outcomes....... and agenda driven media propaganda does NOT count.
