    • The NFL will hold a virtual Pro Bowl this year, with players competing in the Madden video game
    • The NFL's Pro Bowl will be held virtually this year, with players competing on EA's Madden NFL '21.
    • The league said it's still working out the broadcast agreement, which will come at a later date.
    • Players will still be awarded their Pro Bowl bonuses despite the event being virtual.

One thing for sure...the hitting will be harder.

  • If televised, this will likely get a higher rating than the actual Pro Bowl.

And all the retired players and talking heads will be shocked because they have ignored Twitch.

Agreed. Twitch is huge. And I think something well done, even with some players playing controlling the same team and with teamspeak or discord to hear their conversations, could be really fun for all the banter.

I think if there's a sports media that can take an online production to the next level, is the NFL. I wish they watch online tournaments to see how it is done. It will probably be more entertaining that previous Super Bowls, I only watched the contests' highlights last years.

  • Big Twitch fan myself. He got robbed in 2008 and should've won So You Think You Can Dance, but I bet his Ellen gigs help sooth that loss.
