The Browns Board

  • Here is this week's survey:

    1.  What, if any solution would you apply to this Covid situation that is reeking havoc on the NFL, and particularly the Browns:

    2. How many sacks of  Rudolph do you think Myles Garrett will get Sunday?

    3. Justin Fields gave and amazing performance last night in the CFP semifinal.   How do you think his play will affect his draft status?

    4. Should  College Football expand their Playoffs?  If so, how so?

    5.  What surprising move in the NFL do you anticipate for 2021

    6. On the technology front:  BMW  has invented the "Wingsuit".  See the video .   How cool do you think this is?

  • My own answers.

    1.  What, if any solution would you apply to this Covid situation that is reeking havoc on the NFL, and particularly the Browns:

I had suggested  a Bubble which I outlined in another thread.  Beyond that....I think the NFL will have to bribe somebody to get their players/coaches/admins./refs. etc.  all vaccines within like the next week in order for things to be square for the playoffs.    Don't be surprised if they are not working on that.

    2. How many sacks of  Rudolph do you think Myles Garrett will get Sunday?

4-5 sounds like a good number to me.   Though, maybe they will triple team Garrett.....which could lead to openings for other players to dump Rudolph.  This year BR has been a master somewhat of the 2.1 second release making it somewhat foolhardy to blitz him.  I wonder if they will have  RRR  do the same.

    3. Justin Fields gave and amazing performance last night in the CFP semifinal.   How do you think his play will affect his draft status?

It could have solidified him as a Top 5 pick.  Trevor will go #1...does anyone doubt that.    The BYU kid is also looking like a very high prospect as well.

    4. Should  College Football expand their Playoffs?  If so, how so?

Yes.  8 would be good....then they can give bids to each of the Champions of the P5.  Plus 3 Wildcards.   16 would be even better:   You could then give automatic bids to each of the champs of all FBS conferences:  ACC/SEC/Big Ten/Big 12/Pac 10/  All American/Conf USA/MAC/Mountain West/Sun Belt. ...plus have 5 wildcard spots.   This is what they do at all other levels of college Ball.   In addition, you can incorporate a number of the Bowl games that are right now just completly meaningless.   Either way it may be possible to remedy some of the dis-parity that goes on in the sport.

    5.  What surprising move in the NFL do you anticipate for 2021?

Just some random  wild ass guesses and maybe some not so wild:    Bill B.  retires, handing the reins over to Josh McDaniels.    BR retires. If he hangs on next year he could look like Willie Mays playing for the Mets.  JJ Watt is traded.....Houston seems OK with getting rid of their best players.   Drew Brees may also retire.  Brady will NOT retire.

But...the worst thing is:  they will NOT hold the bid draft party that is supposed to be held in Cleveland this year.  Things will still not be appropriate to have that kind of an even held.

    6. On the technology front:  BMW  has invented the "Wingsuit".  See the video .   How cool do you think this is?

Way cool of course.   Rocketeer cool.

  • 1.  What, if any solution would you apply to this Covid situation that is reeking havoc on the NFL, and particularly the Browns:

Fuck all those old people. Give the vaccine to every NFL player right away. (Oh wait-I just screwed my own self-never mind).?

    2. How many sacks of  Rudolph do you think Myles Garrett will get Sunday?

1-but penalized for tripping with a thrown helmet.

    3. Justin Fields gave and amazing performance last night in the CFP semifinal.   How do you think his play will affect his draft status?

    Improved it.

    4. Should  College Football expand their Playoffs?  If so, how so?

8 teams so teams like my Aggies are given a fair shot equal to fair haired boys like ND

    5.  What surprising move in the NFL do you anticipate for 2021

    COVID vaccines for all personnel

    6. On the technology front:  BMW  has invented the "Wingsuit".  See the video .   How cool do you think this is?

Well this old skydiving jumpmaster might just come out of retirement to go with one of those along with my skydiving daughter. But you won't catch me below 2000 ft. jet or no jet until I'm under a canopy. I'd also have a reserve chute piggybacking the main like the good old days with Para-Commanders.
