  • Here is  this week's survey.  Mostly Super Bowl stuff:

    1.  Simple:    Who wins?   Bucs or Chiefs?

    2.  Who will be the SB MVP?

    3.  Who will be the most important   non-QB player in the game?

    4.  There was some suggestion/movement  for the Buccaneers to wear their old "Creamsicle" uniforms in the game.  Would you have like to have seen that?

    5. Have you ever bet  on a Super Bowl,  and if so, how did you fare?

    6.  Which is the more "illustrious"  football family:   The Mannings or the Matthews?

    1.  Simple:    Who wins?   Bucs or Chiefs?

    Chiefs win

    2.  Who will be the SB MVP?

     Mahomes

    3.  Who will be the most important   non-QB player in the game?

    Kelce...or Hill.   make it a tie.

    4.  There was some suggestion/movement  for the Buccaneers to wear their old "Creamsicle" uniforms in the game.  Would you have like to have seen that?

    I might like to see it.  But I don't think they should do it.  Wear the uniforms you have worn all year to get you here.

    5. Have you ever bet  on a Super Bowl,  and if so, how did you fare?

    I was in Las Vegas a year ago on Super Bowl Sunday.   I did put a bet down for the Chiefs to win.  Very small, only like 2 bucks or 4 bucks.  Won less than 10 bucks.   And I put down like 9 bucks on the Browns to win this year's Super Bowl, for a lark.  Came closer than I thought I would. 

    6.  Which is the more "illustrious"  football family:   The Mannings or the Matthews?  

    Because they are all QBs, the Mannings likely would get more publicity  on this.   But the Matthews have the better pedigree.  The Grandfather played for years.....Bruce ...in HOF, Clay....HOF Finalist, and Clay III....could easily get some  HOF run ....and I wish to hell the Browns would have signed him....and I would not be against them picking him up now.

    1. Bucs...Chiefs have some Oline issues right now.  33-27 Bucs

    Yes. The present T Bay uniforms are absolutely horrible.

    No

    Mannings, mainly because they've all been QBs and that gets much more attention.

         Matthews if you also count kids like Jake.

    Clay Matthews Sr.......49ers  (in 50s)

    Clay Matthews Jr........Browns/Falcons    HOF Finalist

    ........Clay Matthews III....Packers/Rams

    Bruce Matthews.......Oilers/Titans  HOF 

    .....Kevin....Panthers/Redskins

    .....Jake....Falcons  (#6 overall pick....in 2014.....could have HOF potential)

    .....Mike....Browns/Steelers  practice squad   (but I don't believe he ever played in a game.

    .....Luke.....still a freshman at Texas A&M....long way to go   (TxAg can maybe give us a scouting report)

    Also, a nephew  Troy Niklas  played for the  Cardinals.

    Yes I won the Superbowl pool at work.. $130.00 bucks

  • I AM having second thoughts about my pick of the Chiefs to win.....and it has nothing to do with the QBs particularly.  It is for this reason:

    The Chiefs may be devastated along their offensive line.    And the Bucs have one of the best  DL/LB situations in the entire league:   Jason Pierre-Paul,   Suh,  Vita Vae, Devin White, Shaquil Barret.  They have likely a top 2-3 Front 7 in the league.  And as much as the focus is on Brady, it is that defense that wins the games for that team.  And KC may be playing with as many as 3 backups on that OL.  

    Even the best QB cannot always overcome OL issues, and outstanding defense on the opposing team. 

    So, in my mind, it is really kind of a tossup at this point.
