    Here is an interesting factoid:

For several years before 2 years ago,  there were  -0-   left handed  Quarterbacks in the NFL.   Why?  No one knows.  There certainly have been outstanding lefty QBs in history:   Steve Young,  Ken Stabler, Jim Zorn, Boomer Esiason, Michael Vick.    But there like been none since Vick retired.    However, now, there is one  lefty:   Tua Tagaviola (sp?).

I know the Browns have had a couple of  Left handers.   I think Paul McDonald was left handed.

Were there any other Left handed Browns QBs?

      Another interesting factoid:

May be an image of 1 person, playing football and text that says 'This is former NFL punter Scott Player. He played from 1998-2007 and was the last player ever to wear a single-bar face mask in an NFL game. Would you rock this face mask in HS game? BROWNS 5'

How old was he?  That grey beard makes him look  60.

And, by the way, obviously he played for the Browns, but why do I not remember him?

I am sure there were others....of varying quality:  Scott Mitchell, Bobby Douglas,  Chris Simms, Tim Tebow, Matt Leinert,  Todd Marinovich,  Frankie Albert, Kellen Moore. And yes, confirmed that Paul McDonald was a southpaw.

Actually, I think it was Moore and not Vick who was the last lefty to start an NFL game before Tua came along.

I heard that one of the reasons for the dearth of  left handed QBs is that...if a lefty has the sort of arm talent it would take to be a good QB, that those persons are NOT  going in for playing football, but rather are going to play baseball, where left handed pitchers are in demand.   A  decent left handed pitcher  can have a long, lucrative career.....and not be chased down and knocked on their ass constantly by  300 pound  defensive linemen.  Some say that lefty Clayton Kershaw could have had the talent to be an NFL QB but chose baseball instead.

Better money and longer careers. Well, unless the arm gives out.  OB's don't stress their arm nearly as much.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

If I had equal talent at baseball and football, I'd pick baseball every day and seventeen times on Sundays.

An American football's shape is called a prolate spheroid, a continuously curved three-dimensional object that is longer than it is around. Unlike a spherical ball, the prolate spheroid shape helps the football to spiral, through something called the gyroscopic effect, which helps maintain its control and trajectory by its continual spin. As a prolate spheroid, a football experiences less drag as it cuts through the air, which explains why you can toss a football farther than a spherical ball such as a basketball or soccer ball that is roughly the same size and weight.
