Well this certainly isn't right, but if you dig deeper into the article, clearly it's a tug-of-war on policy between "conservatives" and "wokeness." This Advancing American Freedom group is relatively new (founded by Pence in 2021) & has clear political ideology in it's description.
Damn our country is becoming so ultra-divided ideologically, and now apparently financially.
