Very true; but that guy is getting some real cruel and unjust criticism in Chicago (who is just as 0-3)

We needed to crush the Ravens, probably our biggest division threat. The Browns have to win these division games more than any other. Until we do that, it will always be the same old Browns.

  • I feel like they didn’t change the game plan at all today for DTR, just calling the game as if it was Watson playing.

It kind of makes sense. Baptism by fire.

Rookie QBs typically struggle. At least he played 4 years at UCLA, a big benefit of course.

Our biggest threat is the person in charge of our offense.

Hoping for a little more adaptive leadership from Kev

Then we dropped back to pass and..... Sacked.  Is Stefanski the only one surprised by this?

    Dear lord

The next pass should have been INT'd and then this drop back.  Way to go Stefanski!

  • Preseason made a lot of you guys think that DTR wasn't still a VERY raw rookie.  And there were some of you calling for him to start.

.... something something, what you wish for.

Anyone who thought DTR would be better than Watson out of the gate eats paint chips and fucks their sisters.

well at least there will not be a qb controversy on the board

Very thin margin for error with Chubb and Watson out.  Then you Lamar playing like an an MVP on other side.

We need to take to the game in Baltimore

DTR looks like a dumpster fire. After watching this game I got to wondering, do these backups even practice? They don't even look ready to play.

Worst 1st time Browns QB in 20+ years... ?

  • tiamat63T tiamat63 wrote on last edited by tiamat63

Moving forward, because of how aggressive Schwartz calls his fronts into gaps, playing 'bigger' RB's is our M.O.  We feast on them.    The Najee's, Henry's, Mixons', Walker, Williams.... those backs take a couple steps to get going.  A large reason why we enjoyed such success against TEN, PIT and CIN early.  On top of their suspect Olines.

But with the gap exchange and the spill n kill we like to play, this means this more 'compact' backs such as Edwards and Justice Hill today, they can plant and turn upfield a bit faster.    So the LB's and DB's have been sort of caught in situations where they're blowing tackles.  This is why Jaylen Warren was picking up yards against us where Najee' would fail too.

Right now, the LB situation is still a bit troubling.  Not as bad as last year, but don't fool yourself thinking it's night and day.

I'll be in .... HERE,  https://discord.gg/8msnr5pC    rest of the game, should anyone want to join in.

Manziel and Kizer come to mind as being worse.

DTR will be fine eventually, I think. He needs the Jordan Love treatment and just sit and learn until Watson's contract is up. He was put into a shit situation today.

Also, it doesn't help him any with Stefanski absolutely refusing to relinquish his play calling duties on offense.

Stefanski needs to call the offense like I need cancer in my nutsack.

Nothing like a good sack celebration dance when you are losing 21-3, I always say. ?
