She has written several international award winning books, but now she has written one so well that 5 German publishers got into a bidding war for the right to publish it in Germany, Austria and Switzerland simultaneously with the English version on Sept. 3. That pushed it into a "major" deal for the first time ever for her novels. She promises a trilogy as follow up to part one on that date. Already working on the 2nd with a plan in her head for the final of the trilogy.

English version is called "The Games the Gods Play" by Abigail Owen

The German Editor was so enthralled by it that she almost missed her train stop as she read it on the way home. Big plans for publicity in train & subway stations and shopping malls throughout those three countries. Wife and I plan to go to Vienna or Munich at the time of release just to be able to see her book "in lights" so to speak. We ordered the deluxe edition hardcover version through Amazon which will look far different from the cover you see in the order. So next Xmas get one for your wife or GF. They will love you forever for it. LOL!

I'll tell her you ordered one. She thinks it's the best she's ever written and the letters she had from the 5 different editors vying for the German rights totally reinforced her opinion. Before her books would make her thousands of $$, but this one gets her hundreds of thousands just for the German version. A Brazilian publisher has the Portuguese rights and they are still working on French, Italian and Spanish rights.  Movie rights are in the background, but a very real possibility if it is the hit they think it will be.

Oh and what I meant by "in lights" is that those displays in all those public locations are electronic advertising for the first of the trilogy.

Now she has permission to show the book (English Version) announcement.

And yes, that is my daughter and no, that is not her real name but a pseudonym.

Her book had 100,000 first edition hardcover printings and all were snatched up by Amazon and book dealers like Barnes & Noble, Bookstop, etc. On the first day of release (Tuesday Sept 3) she zoomed to the top of the Amazon hardcover bestseller list and by Wed they had sold out every single copy that Amazon had gotten from the publisher. The Audible version comes out Sept 17. Kindle reader version is available now.

She just made the USA TODAY Top 150 Best Seller list at #1 in the nation.

I have other news coming, but she says I have to wait an hour so I don't tip off another list before it's published.

Daughter is now publishing on Oct. 21 Book II of her "Gods" series of 3 called "The Things Gods Break" by Abigail Owen. You can pre-order the Deluxe Edition on Amazon. Picks up where Book I (The Games Gods Play) ended in a cliffhanger. I expect it will do well too since so many at book signings have asked when it was going to be published.

Her second book in the series (above) made #3 on the NYT Bestseller list behind John Grisham and Michael Connelly books that came out the same day. Sold more books the first week than her prior #1 bestseller last year did. Competition is higher the closer you get to Christmas. She is on her way to a two week book signing trip already sold out in 3 major Australian cities.

This week her book moved to #2 on NY Times bestseller list and #1 in USA Today's list from #7.

Heya Tex, l bought it. A couple weeks after you posted this l perused the description and it looks right up my gf’s alley, so l ordered it and the first one for Christmas gifts. I went through my favorite little local bookstore, and the second one came but the first is on back order. Bright side is she must be selling a ton of ‘em if that’s the case. I’ll let you know what my gf thinks once the first one comes and she gets to reading.

Yeah, don't let her read them out of order. The 2nd requires knowledge from the first t start making sense right away. Funny thing is that the 2nd sold more it's first week than the 1st did it's first week, but it only made it to 2nd on the NYT Bestseller list because it came out at the same time Grisham's and Dan Brown's books came out. At any rate I'm just now into the 2nd, but I can tell you the 1st was one of the very best she has ever written. In fact it was so good that several of her prior novels are selling well now too.
