CLEVELAND (WJW / AP) — Quarterback Joe Flacco, who helped lead the Cleveland Browns to the playoffs last season, has decided on a new team, according to multiple reports.
The veteran quarterback plans on signing with the Indianapolis Colts, NFL Network correspondent Tom Pelissero reported on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Wednesday evening, ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter also reported that the one-year, $8.7 million deal will include a guaranteed $4.5 million.

The news comes the day after multiple reports said the Browns are closing in on a deal to sign Jameis Winston as Deshaun Watson’s backup.

Flacco, who went 4-1 and helped the Browns reach the playoffs last season after Watson was sidelined by a shoulder injury, didn’t receive a contract offer from the Browns, said his agent, Joe Linta.
Last month, the 39-year-old who came off the couch to lead the Browns to the playoffs, was named the AP Comeback Player of the Year.
