Miami's Clock Management

Here's a vague sentence: I heard someone on the radio talk about some successful college coach (I think it was Les Miles) and how he had trouble with clock management in the early part of his career, so he brought in another coach during an offseason to teach him how to be more successful with that part of the game.
Obviously it's something that you have to learn, but Miami's clock management in their final drive just sucks.
