Browns Have #2 Overall Draft Pick

I think Ghoulie referred to them as “coffee fetchers”.
Who?
Who?
I’m pretty sure it was the same guy that called offensive lineman fat asses. ?

didn't we do something like that with baltimore a few years ago
Yes. In our finite wisdom we let them have Nagata and we took Babbatu (sp?)
I was speaking trading down with a high pick...like trading out of 2 down to 5 or maybe 8-9.
OK. Sure. If you just don't value anyone to spend the #2 overall pick on. - And I'm thinking more in terms of moving up in, or into, day two.

Travis Hunter, and trade up for Will Howard? (Preferably in the 2nd or 3rd) and also an RB at some point.
TreVeon Henderson would be a great addition.
Mine as well draft all Buckeyes …If Travis Hunter is not available a trade back would be nice.
Shedeur probably goes #1?
Howard boosted his stock by bouncing back from a loss 2 times in 1 season.
Seems like an obvious choices to me. Hopefully we don’t mess up this draft.
Edit: after reading through some pages.. Kurtis Rourke a very intriguing QB prospect, led his team, Indiana with a torn ACL in 2024,(only losing to Ohio State and Notre Dame) AND he used to play for Ohio Bobcats. He’s 6’5” 230… same dimensions as Josh Allen. He is from Canada.
Mel Kiper rates him 6th best QB. After highlights, it’s clear this guy can make all the throws, and he makes it look easy. Really smooth QB. I wouldn’t mind a second rounder spent. His brother played at Ohio U as well and plays in CFL.

Every draft cycle someone comes on here pontificating about taking the best player available like they’ve just discovered a new planet or invented a battery that lasts for 25 years ?

Just imagine what all the Native Americans living here thought when they suddenly heard Christopher Columbus just discovered America. My guess? "This ain't gonna be fun man!"

The local sports radio morning show on the Fan keeps mentioning Milroe as a possibility at #2 or 33, because of the Tommy Rees connection.
They don’t seem excited at the prospect of this, but if they keep speaking it into existence, I might have to firebomb their studios if it happens. ?

Somewhere in there you are going to have players with pretty much the same grade. In that case it makes sense to move down to get more value later in the draft.
Honestly, I don't really value 6th & 7th round picks. I see them as possible backups, ST players, and bums...the vast majority of the time.

I hear ya! And when this team hasn't drafted in the 1st round the last 3 years - it's about time this FO can show us they know how to build a team. The team/FO (Howie Roseman) that Andrew Berry worked under were pretty good building their team through the draft to interest veteran players like Barkley and Brown from wanting in on it. It's time for Berry to show us what he can do in the draft. Yes JOK was terrific but this will be Berry's 6th year back with this team. It's go time. No excuses.
I can't tell you how true this is - but I have heard it said more than once by draft analysts covering the draft during the 7th round. Regarding a 1st salary/contract, it's more advantageous to be an Undrafted Free Agent/UFA than it is to be a 7th round pick. However, one has to imagine the ego of a player that has always dreamed of hearing his name announced with the team that drafted him is a very special feeling.

Somewhere in all these threads I put a YouTube video in here that had that specific discussion. It's no secret the last 3 DCs the school up north has hired came right over from the Baltimore Ravens. Gee, there's a surprise... Anyway, Milroe didn't beat TSUN in either of the last 2 meetings. I didn't watch the last one but I bet Milroe was confused.
At #2 overall? Jimmy needs an Exoricst...

Yep, I watched the game ( mainly due to ESPN Bowl Mania interest) and Milroe was awful. scUM had him confused ( Wink Martindale).
What does that mean long term? I honestly have no idea. The guy is a tank, has extreme speed, but I don't know if that means he'd morph into the next Michael Vick.

Sure. Now you can choose where you go. You can choose the highest bidder, the most chance of team success, or the best chance of personal success. And on the team side, you're selecting what is essentially an Undrafted Free Agent...that has to come to your team.
