Day 2 Friday 2025 NFL Draft

The Browns Board
119 25 2.3k 1
  • Browns start with #33 and 36 picks tomorrow night, along with two third rounders.

  • I wanted another pick in this round 2....but it looks like we missed out on all of the good offensive tackles.

Sanders is available at 33.  Here's what I want the Browns to do regarding Sanders and the QB position.  I want them to STAY TRUE TO THEIR PLAN.  If their plan was to gather a second '26 first round pick because they like the '26 QB's better than Sanders, then don't draft Sanders.  If their plan was to see if he or Dart could make it to 33 where they'd be more than happy to draft them, then take Sanders.

We could use:  South Carolina S Nick Emmanwori,    Utah State WR Jalen Royals,   Iowa State WR Jayden Higgins (BIG target),   Missouri WR Luther Burden III,   LSU TE Mason Taylor.

  • I still cannot believe we got a high second rounder AND next year’s first rounder out of Jacksonville.

Hunter better be a HOFer, because he will cost Graham, whoever we take tonight at #36 AND whoever we take with their first rounder next year

I don't think we want Sanders.  If we did we would have probably traded up to get him near the end of the 1st round.  Having a 5th year option on a QB is more important than at other positions.

A QB I think we do like is Tyler Shough.  I think we take him in the 3rd round. He seems like a Stefanski type QB...with Stefanski it is about ball control/time of possession.

Shough or Howard are the only 2 i'd consider... And yes I think Howard is a bit of a reach there...

Agreed.  That was pretty good.  Now lets see what we do with those picks...

With Sanders making it through the entire first round does my relunctance to entertain the idea of taking him #2 overall make sense now?

  • I saw a mock that had us taking sanders at 67.  Seems like the NFL gave Sanders a wake up call with the Diva bullshit.

  • Browns remain picks

    • Round 2, Pick No. 33:
    • Round 2, Pick No. 36:
    • Round 3, Pick No. 67:
    • Round 3, Pick No. 94:
    • Round 4, Pick No. 126
    • Round 5, Pick No. 166:
    • Round 6, Pick No. 192:
  • Hey here from Newcastle in UK so go easy.

I think yesterday was smart. Pretty clear 2025 will be a building year so that deal gets you a solid signing plus (assuming we're shit again) a crazy strong position in a years time.

I don't know the game as well as you lot but what if Hunter didn't fancy the browns? We got who sounds like a pragmatic top 10 pick and then run of the draft next year.

  • And now get the fuck behind the guy.

  • did I post this into existence ? I just didnt have the team

TRADE we give up 2 6th round picks and a 7th to move up and get....

QB Will Howard from The Ohio State University

...you still have to be right in that he's not too good.  But if you're not right, then you've got an awful lot of company.  As it looks at 1:00pm...they've positioned themselves for a run at a QB next year.  Adding the 1st for '26 falls right in line with Haslem's comments at the owner's meetings regarding it taking a couple of years to solve the QB issue.  In continuing that theme, I don't expect them to pick a QB at 33 or 36.  Perhaps round 3 might produce a backup of the future QB pick. (thinking being a backup for the QB they select next year)

You were spot on with what they did for day 1.  Once the verdicts were coming in that Sander's wasn't of the caliber to warrant an early round 1 selection, I was of the trade out mentality.  I wanted another 2nd & 3rd round picks.  Instead we got a 2nd and a 1st next year.  More betah.

    -  now watch...some homeless guy or the cleaning lady will tell Haslem to pick Sanders first thing tonight -

----------  not for nothin', but I sure do like his 74% completion percentage last season.

With Sanders making it through the entire first round does my relunctance to entertain the idea of taking him #2 overall make sense now?

...you still have to be right in that he's not too good. I gotta believe Allar or Klubnik is the guy next year,,.. With Manning a possible asterisk should he decide to come out early...

  • Get a tackle early today.

Burden and Emmanwori are great values now. Maybe one of those two although a guy like Trey Henderson would Be nice.

Three of the next four should be offense and let’s resist the take a QB angle this year.

give the guy we take in 2026…a good line and some weapons through this draft

  • I saw no to Sanders in the 2nd round. I would be open to it in the 3rd if he is still there. I believe a big reason we traded back was to go get a QB next year and if thats the case it doesn't make much sense to use that draft capital to get a QB high this year.

  • I really believe in Burden to give immediate target help for whoever is at QB. Special talent not used as well as could be this past year. 2023 he had 1212 yds, 14.1 ave and 9 TDs receiving. This year only 676, 11.1 and 6. I think the 2023 year was more reflective of his true talent.

  • And tia gets a second shot at an Aggie Edge going somewhere in the 2nd. At the start of the season Nic Scourton was shown as going in the top half of the 1st round, but failed to live up to expectations as his production at Purdue dropped in half against the SEC.

  • I'm going with....

    Trey Henderson, RB

    Landon Jackson, DE
