Day 2 Friday 2025 NFL Draft
-
We got a MAC guy! Nice.
-
A couple signals I'm seeing from this draft.
On defense - a shift more back towards how Schwartz called his fronts and coverages in Tennessee.
On offense - back under center, more 12 personnel.

How did I not hear of this TeSlaa kid before? His RAS looks like a christmas tree.. 9.96 for a WR.
Sure, it might be because he couldn't start at Arkansas, but don't let that stop you, Detroit. At a certain point you have to play the sport
-
Quinn Ewers waiting patiently in a house of decapitated animals is heart warming...
-
And by that you mean more multiple TE packages? I sorta felt like Stafanski got away from that a little bit last year.
Us trying to run an abortion of a RPO last year is why. Thank dog we're going back to the under center/multi TE/zone blocking Stefanski offense.

Well, they brought in the new OC to make Watson great. Now it's going back to Stef's offense.
-
Fannin had 117 catches for 1555 yds last year, just unreal for a TE.
-
And we've already reached the draft time when people start taking UDFA's when they should be drafting starters.
Pat Bryant was ESPN's 163rd best player, the next pick was ESPN's 185th player.
-
@dutch-oven Yeah, I can’t get that image of decapitated animals out of my mind. Thanks for letting me know I’m not the only one.

Yes.

No fullbacks are believed to be draftable this year.
It's fun that the DT at the top of the 3rd, Darius Alexander, has Ogunjobi as his NFL comp. That's.. not great.
Who else is draftable from Iowa State? Houston's going to take them

Jobi won had his moments, l kinda liked watching the guy play. He was at his best when he would shoot a gap and disrupt things for the offense. I seem to recall he had a penchant for starting the season off on fire too, real good performances the first few games of the season. Then he would kinda level off.
Draft day fun fact, Ogunjobi was the first player ever drafted from UNC Charlotte.

Went to Canton McKinley High School, who plays their games at stadium at the Hall of Fame.

Milroe before Sanders. Wowzers.
He must have rubbed all the GM's wrong.
-
Love the Fanin pick... Bout time!
After watching Tyler Warren so much, I saw a little bit of Warren in Fannin -
get this -
in high school, Canton McKinley (here in Ohio) - he played TE, and....SAFETY !
"At Canton McKinley, Fannin was a standout on both sides of the ball, playing tight end and safety, which is where many people thought he would play at the collegiate level.
In his senior year for the Bulldogs, he had over 600 yards on 36 catches on offense, but on defense, he was next-level, amassing 106 tackles, two interceptions, six forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and he found the end zone twice on defense."

Well I'll be damned...
QB Dillon Gabriel to the Browns.
There's our young future #2 QB
-
Dillon Gabriel is a scout team QB at best. He does not have an NFL skillset.
Given all the QB's including Shedeur still on the board, this was not the pick to make.
