  • After blowing the game against Chicago tonight...there's rumblings around the league he might be fired.

If he gets fired, where does he rank among the other available Head Coaches?

I was thinking in the final minutes... I said to myself.."That there is a man who lost more than a game".."He may have lost his job, too". He had that look on his face... And if that is the case... Let me be the first to say I want no part of him.. He reminds me too much of Kevin Steflunkski....

  • Outside of McVay and Kyke Shanahan, a laid back personality seems to be prevalent from the coaches in the Shanahan tree. They make great worker bees and fall in line when they've got a strong personality leading them.

On their own, they've shown much less.

If we're truly moving on from Stefanski let's do it.

GB had a better roster and FO than the Browns. It seems to me airdropping a similar personality style isn't going to get the Browns where we want.

  • I don't honestly know about him, seems like a great offensive mind though.

I've been saying GB was over rated. They stall out for some odd reason during games, despite having good WRs. Jacobs is solid, Love definitely a top 10 QB.

I'm glad they lost. To me, they're the Ratbirds/Steelers of the NFC, I hate em.

Go Bears, one team I can get behind.

FWIW, the Browns beat Green Bay...

It's looking like the Berry & Haslam want to interview as many people as possible which is kind of like wanting to draft 2 rookie QBs between round 3 and 5 with no big confidence in either choice so this Owner and FO also jerked around with Pickett & Flacco (again).  The only thing they were sure of last year is they didn't want to waste ANY time researching OTs.

The list of candidates to interview for the HC position is getting too big and they haven't even informed us of what fast rising peanut vendors are now interested.

If one is a confident HC candidate with proven success in the NFL coaching ranks - does he REALLY even consider working for this franchise at this point? If I'm one I'd ask "what is your research criteria for prospects you want to draft?"  In 2014, the Browns drafted Oklahoma State's DB/KR Justin Gilbert (a Jim Thorpe Award Finalist) who showed up with a bad attitude and rarely gave it 100% on the field.  Bear with me on this old man's memory of exact wording but here's a paraphrase on sloppy research done by our scouts/GM at the time (Jimmy's GM was Ray Farmer) Anyway, one of the Defensive Coaches on Oklahoma State's Defensive Staff at the time indicated he had no idea the Browns were really interested in Justin; because they didn't ask us 1 single question about his attitude, practice habits/work ethic, or how he interacted with teammates or responded to coaching, etc.  Nothing.  We could have saved them some avoidable headaches.  Obviously Farmer was eventually fired for more of that.

My concern is does Jimmy ever understand you FIRE someone to UPGRADE him?  I gotta wonder if they have any criteria at all throughout the never ending sequel of firing 1 scapegoat after another in operation rinse and repeat.  He can rinse and repeat all he wants but until there's any self evaluation of what continues to go wrong - it's tough to be confident in improvement.  That's just my stupid take...

  • That was a great game, Chicago really lucked out on their coach. Great offensive mind, runs a disciplined team and great motivator of men. Hopefully the Browns get it right so we can be in a similar situation next season.

  • When I was looking for the game it was 21 to 3 sometime in the 3rd, I thought that game was all but over lol

    Good for 'The Bears'

No thanks on the coach, at least KS still found ways to win with this team, that guy found ways to lose with his.
