It's Steeler Road Week. We beat them at home when the month started. Let's close out the month by beating them again!

The Steelers have a bit of an edge on Offense as they are the better passing team. But we're better against the pass, so if the D has a decent game we'll be pretty even on offense.

Defensively, the Steelers are not the Titans. They are strong enough against the run to keep us from having much success. Their pass D stats are about the same as ours. But they seem to have an edge at producing turnovers.

We're not overmatched here. And we should know that since we've already proven that we can beat them. No matter what happens over the remaining schedule, sweeping the Steelers is no small detail to Browns fans. A win would also give us tiebreakers over them for a division title and/or wild card spots.

I know that it's surreal to be talking a playoff push rather than our usual October theme of draft talk...but there'll be plenty of time for that in late February.

This is the 5th week in a row where the outcome of our game determines the leader of the division. We relinquished the lead once in that stretch. It didn't feel too good...there's no big celebrations in the locker room. Let (MAKE) The Good Times Roll !! Go Browns!!

Here’s the tv map for this week. We’re starting to get a little more national coverage for the battle of first place in the AFC North. Good to see.

Most of Ohio gets this one, but it’s on the same channel and time as the Bengals game, so southwest OH is SOL, from the southwest corner of Miami Township up the Indiana border to my forsaken homies in Van Wert. The rest of you Buckeyes are golden though.

Most of PA is good, except for the cheesesteak eating parts, and a little section in the north-central which is probably mostly Amish people without TVs anyway.

WV - you’re good. A swath of central VA is good, including the town of Roanoke, which is not to be confused with the first English settlement Roanoke colony from the late 1500s. That actually happened on Roanoke Island, which is in present day North Carolina, pretty close to places like Kittyhawk and Nag’s Head, which l hear is nice due to all the missing teeth.

Apparently there were 2 separate Roanoke colonies, both attempted by Sir Walter Raleigh. The first consisted of about 100 men, and their purpose was to create a military presence, explore the area, and screw with the Spanish. It lasted about a year, 1585 to 1586. They had supply problems and growing tension with the local Algonquian tribe, so they said F this and left.

The famous second colony was 1587 to 1590. In 1587 Virginia Dare was born, the first English tot to pop here, and in 1590 the whole dang colony completely disappeared. The only clue they left behind was a carving on a tree that said “Pittsburgh Sucks.”

Anyway, the deep south is watching the Browns this weekend. A wide stretch of them from LA to most of NC. The only part of NC not getting the game is the Raleigh area, because Pittsburgh sucks.

Browns DE Jared Verse (knee) said he plans on practicing today.

Verse didn’t practice Wednesday, but coach Todd Monken said he expects Verse to play Sunday.

Brownies have struggled the most vs Cover 2 & 6 this year. PIT rates of both have increased week over week the last 2 games.
I'd expect that to be what we get on the back-end more than the Cover 1/3 we got last time.

Up front? We got TEN into even nickel when were in 11p. I don't think the Steelers will afford us such grace. I'd expect them to take a lot of what the Jets & Ravens did up front in the odd looks and emulate that. They don't have a Kyle Hamilton though to give their walk/ Penny fronts a super flexible look to the JACK spot like Baltimore does. Won't mean they can't give it a try though. Just wondering who the hell would play that spot? Jalen or Deshon maybe?

are we giving pits d to much credit ? I mean playing the saints bucs and colts in their past 3 games are really not juggernauts offensively, up front for The Browns last week we held Simmons ( wow 2 first rounders for him) to 4 tackles and i believe a couple of pressures on #4, Big Thanos held watt in check in the past and I believe he will get the start this Sunday
