Ted just out-ran the entire Jets D. Great throw too.

I thought Ginn was injured because I hadn't seen him all night. Is he no longer returning punts?

Looks like Dolphins QB coach David Lee's done a great job developing Henne. It proves that if you've got a great scouting department and coaching staff, the 2nd round doesn't have to be the QB black hole some like to portray it as being.

Lee's also the guy who brought the WildDawg to Miami. I wouldn't be surprised if he fields a bunch of OC job offers this offseason.

Ginn is one of the most ridiculous picks ever.

For being labeled a "bust" with the 7th pick his numbers don't compare all that unfavorably to Edwards' first two years:

                    Ginn, Jr.

                    2008 Catches 56 Yards 790 Avg. 14.1 TD 4 1574 APY

                    2007 Catches 34 Yards 420 Avg. 12.4 TD 2 2086 APY

                    Edwards

                    2006 Catches 61 Yards 884 Avg. 14.5 TD 6 891 APY

                    2005 Catches 32 Yards 512 Avg. 16.0 TD 3 512 APY

Edwards was lining up as the #2 receiver to a 1000 yard receiving Bryant in 2005 and had Kellen Winslow (900 yard receiver) to complement him in 2006.

Ginn had guys like Cleo Lemon lining up at QB throwing to him in 2007 and their #2 receiver was Greg Camarillo who had 600 yards.

They are in almost a statistical dead heat this season.

After yesterday's game, I doubt too many Dolphins fans are all that upset that they passed on Quinn. Henne has a much stronger arm and seemed poised as hell.

                    Pat White is a head-scratcher.

Looks like Scot Loeffler turned out qb#3.

Scot is currently a qb coach for the Gators and is working with Tim Tebow.

to quote Scot's Bio page from the Gators site:

Scot Loeffler has been named the University of Florida's new quarterbacks coach

Loeffler has previous college experience at the University of Michigan, guiding quarterback Chad Henne and also worked with Tom Brady and Brian Griese. He will begin working with the Gators on Friday, following UF's matchup with Oklahoma in the 2009 BCS National Championship Game on Thursday night at Dolphin Stadium.

Loeffler spent the 2008 season coaching the quarterbacks for the Detroit Lions. Previously, he held the same position for the Michigan Wolverines for six seasons. In those six seasons, his quarterbacks threw for 142 touchdowns and just 44 interceptions. Loeffler was instrumental in developing Henne, who became the school's career leader in passing yards (9,715), touchdowns (87), completions (828) and attempts (1,387). As a true freshman in 2004, Henne threw a school-record-tying 25 touchdown passes and became the first quarterback in Wolverine history to throw 20 or more touchdown passes in each of his first three seasons. He was also the first true freshman quarterback to lead his team to a Big Ten title and start a BCS bowl game. He was drafted in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins.

Loeffler helped develop John Navarre into the team's first All-Big Ten first-team quarterback since Griese accomplished the feat during the Wovernines' 1997 national championship season. Navarre set seven season passing marks and six career records at Michigan under Loeffler's tutelage.

Loeffler played quarterback for the Wolverines from 1993-96, and was a student assistant for the team for one season after a shoulder injury cut his playing career short. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Michigan in 1998. As a grad assistant, he helped coach Brady (NFL MVP and two-time Super Bowl MVP) and Griese (NFL Pro Bowler). In 2000, he moved on to Central Michigan as the Chippewas' quarterbacks' coach for two years. He returned to Michigan as the quarterbacks' coach in 2002.

A native of Barberton, Ohio, Loeffler graduated from Michigan with a degree in history and political science in 1998. He also earned the Michigan Athletic Academic Achievement award during the 1997-98 academic year.

The guy's one smart cookie, definitely the most intelligent human I've ever met. Played football with him before he got a full scholarship to Michigan. Too bad, he got sick and diagnosed with some strange blood disorder so he couldn't play anymore. Who knows, he could have wound up an NFL qb if he didn't. As much as we bitch about not having a real qb coach that can develop players, I'd love to see Scot get a shot with the Browns.

Maybe then our picks would stop busting and we'd have a REAL qb.

3 seasons until our new head coach, let's hope they get it right this time.

That as a fantastic game... See the laws of physics even comes into the NFL.

We saw a perfectly poor game in the Bills and the Browns and to balance the scales we had a great game with the Jets and Miami...

That was also a great pass and a great run by Ginn and Henne...

Also did anyone notice the Hail Mary that fell 7 yards short of the end zone from Sanchez? He looks like he has the arm strength, but he threw it so high up I think you could have mounted a camera on it and painted Goodyear on the side of that pass...
