I think it's the same reasoning that had Montana or Idaho as the national champs a few years back because it could be figured out that someone beat someone and they beat someone else who beat someone else and on and on until the only team who hadn't lost to someone was Idaho or Montana or some other such nonsense school.

I understand that OSU lost to USC early..but Ohio State went on to have a very good season after that. USC lost FOUR times after that game and only Oregon is playing in a BCS game. Ohio State played a shitty game and lost to Purdue but went on to beat Iowa (who is playing in a BCS game). How many pac 10 teams are playing BCS games this year?? And USC lost how many conference games?

I, for one, feel good for the Big Ten fans. Usually they have to rush to get these posts out before bowl season starts; this year it actually holds true after the first Saturday of the bowl season.

What is Mark May going to say now? He's still bitter about Ohio State, Michigan, & Notre Dame not recruiting him.

Great day for the Big 10, but it's going to take a few more season's like this for the idiots at ESPN to acknowledge us as a great conference again.

to go along with commentators, did anyone else but me hear much brett mussberger or however you spell his last name was on Oregon's knob all night? Literally they'd tackle Terrelle Pryor and he'd act like they just won the game. On the flip side, when TP would make a good play he'd find a way to belittle it.

Mark May has to be the worst, followed by Lee Corso and Mussbereger

ANYWAY, it is refreshing to see the big ten turn it around. I hope Iowa can pull through and show the strength we have. As much as I hate to say it though, we still aren't above the SEC. Next year will be a good measuring stick however. I said it earlier on here, it only takes a couple years for a conference to go from all powerful to mediocre. Remember the ACC in the early 2000's? Now it's a complete joke, for the most part.

As my random side note, the biggest news of college football this year is going to be the mass introduction of the triple option to most people's offensive gameplans. Mark my words.

Buckeye Hater Nation is out hot and heavy on my Facebook page and it is hilarious. I think the SEC took a step back this year overall but are still slightly better than the Big Ten. Michigan sucking is good and bad. I mean, it is beautiful to see those jackasses blow but at the same time they bring down the rest of the conference.

Meyer just put a blip on recruiting for the Gators and is trying to save face for the program. The Big Ten is still right among the top in recruiting across the board, so I see things evening out as soon as next year.

Kudos to the Buckeyes getting it done, although Jimmy T has got to give up the play calling.

I thought just the opposite, Mussberger came right out trying to anoint Pryor the next Vince Young

One freaking series ,and suddenly we are all witness

Believe me, I'm thrilled the kid had a great game...but thank god for Locker and Ingrem or we'd be force fed 9 months

    of "PRIESMAN" hype

Joe Pa is awesome. Everyone was ready to escort him to the old folks home five years ago, yet there he is beating Les Miles and his SEC Tigers.

Bobby bows out ... and Joe is now the unquestioned King of the Hill for All-Time.

Did anybody tell JoPa they won yet?

Big Ten is one of the best conferences in America every year. SEC is too. Whoever started the "our conference is better than your conference" thing is stupid (espn), it changes every year and most of the top conferences are about even all in all (Big ten, big twelve, pac ten, acc, and sec). Big Ten is very underrated and SEC slightly overrated (though they are probably the best right now), they make it seem like one is awful and one is spectacular on TV.

Well all we have heard the last few years is how bad the Big Ten is, from ESPN mostly. Now today, Reese says something to the fact that "well, maybe it is not the conference as a whole as it is individual game matchups".

Really??? So now ESPN is eating their dick for their stupidity, and now they want to change their tune to yet again take another shot at the B10.

Real funny. He's 80 and he just kicked LSU's ass, finished 11-2 and won yet another bowl game.

    He is the king.

And now with Bowden out of the game, he needs to let the guy really coaching the team to get some credit.

I like Paterno, don't get me wrong, I just don't want to see him on the sidelines with a walker....and i am getting up there, so it isn't some bias against old people.
