I think we're all missing the point here. If we can keep Vickers as a run blocker and bring Hillis in on 3rd downs his role could be much like Chester Taylor's role was with the Viking's this past year. He gives us blocking AND a good set of hands and creates more options for us. He's a football player guys....He'll make a difference. He will be an excellent role player here at Cleveland.

i gotta take a beak......almost every board is in meltdown, sans this one. new idiots and troll accounts abound to express the fact that mike and co. dont know what the hell they are doing, they're making all the wrong moves, and not getting proper compensation in return. didn't ya know quinn was at least worth a 2nd since we spent a 1st and 2nd to get him? nevermind his monumental suckage on the firld, worth as a player is directly proportional to draft status. same in wimbley's case....poeple everywhere shitting themselves because we traded and average player (at best) for less than we paid..... its maddening.....armchair GMs already throwing our new FO under the bus, and already we have been dismissed amongst our own fanbase. its pretty xxxxing sad actually....

@athensbuck26 said:i think its clear his plan is too get as many pics as possible over the next 3 years and draft every position once or twice maybe 3 times but in the meantime fill the holes with seasoned vets untill he can draft players to replace them what else would explain signing guys 29 or older to just 3 year deals? Not a real reach there. He's done or had part in the same thing on all the teams he was on. It's a great plan. In Holmgren We Trust.

@pumpkin-eater said:I'd rather have Teabag. haha he said teabag its catching on like wildfire don't forget about teblow

would it be hard to pass on him in the 2nd? 5'11 220 4.41 40 is outstanding his only downside is he could be a bit more of a powerful runner but he would be a great compliment to Davis (if he can stay healthy)/Harrison/Jennings although if we draft mathews we probably wont play Davis/Jennings much and Jennings could end up cut or on PS

@brownsbacker85 said:I thought he recieved the 2nd round tender? He did, The Browns did give second-round tenders, a guaranteed US$1.75 million salary for next season, to running back Jerome Harrison(notes), linebackers D'Qwell Jackson(notes), Matt Roth(notes) and Jason Trusnik(notes), safety Abram Elam(notes) and fullback Lawrence Vickers(notes). Those players can sign offer sheets with other teams, but the Browns would have seven days to match the offer or they'll receive a second-round draft pick as compensation. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Ak8u...s&type=lgns

@playerjdd said:No you dumb dumb listen up until we get rewarded these which we havent then we dont have them. Before you call someone a dumb dumb get your info correct. And riferx we dont have a 7 cause we traded it when we traded Williams and got Denver's5th pick which detroit owned. lol...i actually wrote that after watching that south park episode about Mormonism..... but its just what i've seen tossed about..... this guys has gotten pretty close in years past......AdamJT13

@athensbuck26 said:yeah i think ill agree with the NFL scouts who say the combine hurt his stock he is about the 7th best DB most overrated player in the draft he has the same situation with Taylor Mays he had great talent around him to make him look good I was high on Haden before I seen this video. You can see he cant cover a speedy receiver man to man. Lafelle beats him quite a bit even if haden breaks up some passes due to poor throws. Granit this was 08 so his technique is probably better, but you can see the lack of speed
