Worst Head Coach In Nfl? -
Newbie QuestionsThanks guys, I'm sure there'll be a few more coming this way in the future! To be honest there's another reason for supporting the Browns - I'm a life long Aston Villa fan, so my allegiance was swung by Randy Lerner.
Oh and Dan, that font really is that bad

Opposite way for me Im a villa fan now!

Newbie QuestionsIt would most likely be a 5th or 6th rounder compensational pick Ifigure. It is a rare case to get a 4th rounder

At This Point I Don't CareI will be honest, Weeden is the best looking QB I have seen us have since we have been back. This guy looks like the real fucking deal right now. He should have had 300 yards and 3 tds this game except for the goddamn sun.

Hello Browns Fans!Yup, appreciate the civility. Hope you guys beat the piss out of the Ratbird and Squeelers too! Always cheer for the fellow Buckeyes over everyone else.

What Can We Get For The First Pick In The '13 Draft?Have you guys seen the Linebacker from Georgia? That son of a bitch reminds me of Ray Lewis/Derrick Brooks Hybrid.

Where Is Hardesty? -
What's With All The Optimism? You are a fucking moron. I don't even want to waste my time denouncing everything you just said. I will point this out however. Kicking the field goal is undoubtedly the right choice in that decision with that amount of time and no time outs left. Also our best CB and our best DLineman were out. They will be back.

Our Next Coach Will Be?"All these teams have top defenses" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since 2000 only the Ravens in 2000 had a "GREAT" defense.
You say the ratbirds woulda shoulda but didn't and the 49ers woulda shoulda. but didn't.... If that's the case the Browns would be 1-0. Afterall we should have intercepted that pass Vick threw.................................
Anyone can get to the playoffs, hell the Bungles got there last year. And they will be lucky to win 6 games this year
The 2002 Bucs had a better defense than the Ravens did ya idiot.

Lets Talk About T RichDoesn't matter how good the oline is. It is simple numbers. They had 9 guys in a box we had 7 blockers. They don't respect our passing game.

Art ModellAny Browns fan who thinks this dirt bag should be in the Hall of Fame is a fucking tool.

Eagle SoupDid I miss something that said that Haden would be playing tomorrow?
Yes you did.

Plan If Shurmur Can't Hack It.Talking about Ohio Ties what about about Bill Cowher?

Tampa is in a terrible market but continue to put a winning team on the field, even if they can't sell out a game to save their franchise.
I go to games all the time and see how empty it is.
The team still wins, though, and doesn't have a fraction of the budget the bigger market clubs have.
Live in Tampa Bay also. Team is unreal for the fan support and the budget and still are so good. Especially the pitching.

Luck The New Manning?@king-ghoolie-lives said:
At the risk of losing my favor as a new homer, I believe you bring up not only a valid point, but a topic that remains perplexing to me as I am sure it does many fans.
We hear a lot of the rhetoric about bringing a guy up slowly, and letting him learn the system and blah, blah blah........ but honestly, can one here even name a QB who came out his first year as a real conservative passer and then BAM, all of a sudden became a passing machine?
Marino,Fouts,Sipe,Stabler, etc. these guys all came out of the box smoking...... passing to beat the band.
The argument might be that none of us has ever been an NFL coach and we don't know everything that goes on behind the scenes, and for sure that holds some validity. Additionally, who is to say that a 40+ passes per game offense is the key to success?
What bothers guys like Soju, and me to a great extent is that not only is our brand of football not the balls-to-the-wall fun style of football that we would like to see, but also that it doesn't seem to have any real identity at all. It is not an offense that is going to frighten people.
Weeden is light years ahead of McCoy, but I want to see the guy shredding pass defenses, I want to see him putting fear into the eyes of opponents.
What gets me about these kinds of coaches, is that they look at the other teams and see a wide open passing game as an integral part of the game, and still, come out with offensive scheme's that almost seem to consider the pass are a neccessary evil, to be used only in the rarest cases and never to increase a score or close a team out, but only when the opposing defense knows we have no option but to pass, such as in thrid-and-long situations.
Shurmur to me is a coward. He is the gambler who sits down at the table with a million in his pocket but only plays $1 bets.
Whatever Shurmur's overall plan is, it should be aggressive, formidable, awe inspiring. It should be something people observe and instantly visualize a force, a style, an defined attack. Our offense has none of that.
Soju's comparison to Luck is PARTICULARLY good because Luck has just been plugged into the shittiest team in the NFL.
WHy is it that a team who went 0 - 108 last year, all of a sudden has a potent, buzz saw passing offense?
Yeah, Rich and I will tell you...... ITS ALL ABOUT THE QB..............that is what makes the O and the D. But WE HAVE A QB. WHy is ours being treated with Kid Gloves, and theirs being given carter blanche to fire it up?
Shurmur, imho is a coward, a chicken, a man afraid to lose. He is afraid of his own shadow. He really does need to go.
I understand where you are coming from Ghoolie. I will however say Tom Brady was super conservative his first few seasons and in the last 7 or 8 years has become a dynamic passer.

Grade The Browns First Half On A 1-10 Scale! -
The Undefeated Browns!wawaWHAT?
did they really knock the preseason to only 2 games?
man i need to pay more attention to the other things involved instead of just THE (real) games themselves.
well we beat 2 (by experts' accounts) teams in the NFC pretty soundly in this preseason. will it translate to regular season wins? who knows. i liked what i saw tonite and that will make me sleep with a smile on my face tonite.
We play the Eagles in game 3 of the preseason and Game 1 of the regular season. It makes no fucking sense.
