Loved watching Jones play at MSU, but he's got kind of a square peg skill set. He's a high motor guy with good instincts but really struggles shedding blocks. And in the pass game, he was considerably more effective in college at blitzing than dropping into coverage (only 2 INTs over 4 years). That makes it tough to find him a spot playing in an NFL defense -- I guess he could be a decent reserve/special teamer, but would he better than what the Browns have? Tough to say.

I think we should let delhome play the first half and bring in a new QB the next half. Correct me if im wrong but dont we always play dominant in the first half and then our QB cant make a throw to save his life in the second half ? (Except Colt i.e.)

Kam Chandler had a good game at safety. He looks like a good prospect at strong safety since he he has size and speed. He would be a good 4th round pick. I would not spernd more than a 5th round pick on Kafka. He looks like a project to me.

Watching the bungel/jets game last night reminded me of how far the browns have came under mangini ,if we could have made the wildcard game our streak would have continued because we could beat either of those teams last night..

Goodell doing this has nothing to do with Woodley. It has everything to do with fans and media questioning the integrity of the game after the Colts went into the game without the intent of winning. There is no way anything can be done about this though. What would Goodell consider a full team? What if the entire starting offense and defense came down with a mystery flu the week leading up to a meaningless game? What if all the starters showed up a few minutes late to practice and the team decided to suspend with pay all the starters for a meaningless game? Goodell did this becuase fans and the media whined about what the Colts did. No changes will or can occur about this. Goodell used some free airtime to try to make the fans happy, or to make them realize having team rest starters is still a better option than forcing teams to play starters.

yeah, quite a few of those calls were ____. but i'm tryin real hard to be positive here! for the past couple years (at least) this team has sputtered along using two downs to add penalties and lose yards and then 3rd down to convert. the penalties are lessening this year and the sacks are decreasing under Brady. if he continues to make good decisions protecting the ball, our running game keeps squirming for that extra yard or two (like they have been) and our defense is able to keep it close, we just might win some more in spite of Daboll! j/k right now, execution of anything is preferable to exotic drops, miscues, improper routes, innacurate balls etc. K.I.S.S. hey, moving forward just imagine what they can accomplish using THREE downs! if the players learn to not beat themselves through this experience then this clusterphuck '09 season will be well worth it.

The only positive was the play of our defense without our starting ILBs. Maiava and Trusnik played very well.
