During the Monday night countdown, Peyton Manning had a nice breakdown of a Jacboy pass play that was very informative, explained it in a very easy to understand fashion. Could listen to him breakdown game film for hours. Lots of football knowledge bouncing around in that head of his.

Yup, now that stigma will follow him long after his playing days...lol

@calfoxwc said: not an expert, but I would think the patellar tendon would tear before the quadriceps tendon - it's narrower. But that will take serious physical therapy to come back from. Yikes. I feel bad for Walker. I've been through more than a few PTs  but that would be a big one.  On the plus side professional football teams have the facilities and people to get it done.  -but-   you still have to get it done on your own.  One day at a time.

Plays the same position as TJ Ward, just isn't as good... no thanks

If I'm Lombard/Banner: 1) Ellerbe ILB - this would be the signature move for the new FA b/c I don't think anybody sees this happening, but he would certainly be the #1 FA move for us 2) Keenan Lewis CB, Cary Williams CB, Antoine Cason CB, or Greg Toler CB - all are quality #2 CBs and we desperately need one of these guys. If we can't get one of these guys we'd have to look at Gamble who will be overpriced or Munnerlyn. We NEED a CB in FA this year, no choice. 3) Kruger OLB or Avril OLB - These guys immediately start opposite our first round pick (J.Jones, D.Jordan, E.Ansah). Sheard becomes a situational pass-rusher. 4) Brandon Myers TE, Durstin Keller TE, Ben Watson TE(resign) - It's always concerning when a guy lights it up in a contract year (Myers) but we need a veteran TE. 5) Desmond Bryant DT/DE or Jean-Francois DT/DE - A guy who can play 3-4 DE, and who could end up starting if Winn/Taylor/Hughes can't get it done at DE. 6) Goldson S, Quin S, Landry S - The fact I haven't heard the Browns linked to these guys yet is a bit concerning. All are a major upgrade over Young/Hagg at FS. 7) Edelman WR, Nelson WR, Gibson WR, Hixon WR - Not that we NEED these guys, but they have experience, something our WR corps lacks. Louis Vasquez G, or Tyronne Green G - I haven't heard much about the Browns looking into these guys, but our O-line talent is pretty solid. 9) Mike Goodson RB - Let Ogby and Goodson battle it out. He's had flashes of being really good and would make a good 3rd down guy. 10) Chase Daniel QB - If we're not keeping McCoy, this would be the guy to get. He's been sitting behind Drew Brees, and probably learned a thing or two. 11) Quentin Groves OLB, Nick Eason DT/DE, Adrian Wilson SS, James Sanders FS - Depth guys who know Horton's Defense 12) Donte Rosario TE, Gary Barnidge TE, Louis Murphy WR, Jackie Battle RB, Derek Anderson QB, Mike Pollak G - Depth guys who know Turner or Chud's offense (I'm sure there are more of these type of guys, but I am only guessing) If we can add 3-4 starters, and 4-8 depth players this year in FA that would be great. Plus, adding at least 1 new starter through the draft. This team would be looking good.

@blitzz2 said: Of course he will say that, not gonna burn any bridges if he don't get his asking price in a warmer climate Right, why should a team offer him a premium price? Let's say as a general rule that a player of his caliber would ordinarily be worth $5 million. If he announces that he will not consider at least 50% of the teams in the NFL because they are in a colder climate, then why would any team that may be interested in him not want to totally lowball him. "You insist on playing in a warm climate....then take a 50% discount to do so". Perhaps he should not expect to receive an offer of over say 3 million. If Miami or Tampa are only going to offer him 3 million but Green Bay or Chicago or one of the NYC teams or Cleveland would offer him 5 million, which offer do you think he will accept?

@the-gipper said: He may not now be a pathetic man, but he is a lucky man.....because he could easily have spent the rest of his career in prison because I personally do NOT believe that he was such an "innocent bystander". He may not have wielded the knife, but he was in control of and responsible for those who did. Is he now a model citizen? Perhaps....but he had a lot to make up for. ^+1. There are such things as second chances, and Lewis has made the most of his. Model citizen since. Doesn't change what happened that night though. We weren't there, so we'll never know. But if those actions look fishy, they probably ARE fishy. Nice of him to "forget" what happened after he got off on a plea bargain when his pals went on trial. Two people died, and no one remembers what happened. Not likely. Yeah, great football player, certain first ballot HOFer. Kind of guy I'd like to hang out with? Nope.

I know it premature to look ahead, but the reality is, we are competitive. But just can't get over the hump.If we keep going this way the option will be there. And as much as I want to see the Browns improve week to week and win. I can't help but think what a 1 or 2 position in the draft would mean. Sucks looking at it this way, as the mentality is to win now. But hey Rome wasn't built over night or even in 2-3 years! Anyways I think after week 6-8 and no wins which is highly conceivable based on our brutal schedule. Haslam will make a change at HC, and everyone will be auditioning for the remainder of the season.Of course outside of our skill players who actually have skills. 2 wins will probably get us the number 1 position and put us in line for a cb,olb,wr,ol...list can go on.
