Evan Moore isng going anywhere. It'll be Watson, Moore and Royal

Jerome Harrison is going anywhere either. We do however have plenty RBs. I can see Harrison starting with Hillis backing him up... in and out at FB mostley. This position is a tough one to call, Harrison has always shown production in my eye... and Davis and Jennings are young talented backs who have shown potential. I'm interested to see whats going to happen here. I am glad however that J.Lewis has stepped aside for these young guys to shine.

lol, there talking about McNabb in San Fransisco

He's been asking for a new contract since the RAC/Savage era, then again when Mangini came.... now Holmgren. He's been playing for 4th string QB money. Everyone knows he is underpaid. Pay the man, and lets move on... simple. He won all 5 games for us this year... simple!

So did Charlie Ward. And Gino Toretta. And Andre Ware?

Whats your point, exactly? WHat's that Heisman done for him in the NFL? Nada.....

My point was simply who was the better college QB.

@bigbrownsfan said:

LOL - yeah, ok buddy....

He has a Heisman lol mm?

if I am not mistaken Peyton Manning was only 2-14 through his first 16 games. We can't judge any quarterback (quinn, or anderson) with this group of receivers.

Actually he won three through first 16 games. However I dont blv Peyton has ever thrown under 100 yards in a game. Brady has thrown under 100 yards 4 times this season.

Troy Smith would be a solid #2... I just dont see him as a NFL "Starting" QB. I would "Vick-him" here in Cleveland lol

Plainly put... Cribbs looks like those old Reggie Bush Highschool video clips we've all seen in aw.

Watch some of the early Browns game from this year and watch Harrison picking up the blitz..He wasn't and getting QB's stuck!..he was an unwilling blocker and Mangini had the balls to bench his ass until he commited to being a total back..which means doing everything not just some things..Apparently he came around.watch him pass block now..That shows Mangini is coaching the right way..Do it right consistently and you play..Don't you won't//Good for Harrison, he's a better NFL player thanks to coach Mangini.

I have to agree. I've always said Harrison should see more touches, but the blocking wasnt there. You see the potential in him, and get him to perform as a complete back. Thats what I saw yesterday. However you look at it, that comes from coaching... and you have to tip your hat off to Mangini for that one. I will say this, we have three young talented backs that if we put them in a position to succeed, develop them to full potential... Harrison, Davis and Jennings is a trio that is scary. Of course we'll have to wait till next year to see exactly how good this new running regime will be.

Welcome... oh and please thank your team for bringing a little positive to this rather dissapointing state in reference to sports lately.

Fake injuries?? Fake injuries?? Who cares really? One, you cant proove it... second he has bigger things to worry about... like the growth of this teams success.

While I would agree to go offense first, I don't agree on the reasoning here. We passed on AP because Joe Thomas is a stud and AP did have a history of injury. Hind sight is 20/20 on this one. And Kellen was a play maker, no one could foresee him getting hurt while doing endo's in parking lot. Other teams passed on Big Ben as well.

True Thomas is a stud, however our O-line still reeks. Hind sight is 20/20 on that one yes, but this is my point risk it and go for the playmaker I think its about time.

Kellen was a playmaker yes, had a great one season and was traded for drafts.... Ben has multiple championships.

Think of this...

1. We go AP instead of Thomas... our Oline would be shakey (as it currently is now), but would have a future hall of fame back in the backfield.

2. We go Big Ben instead of K2... we would have a winner at QB to build around. Note: Ben has prooved he can get it done with a horrid O-line, there would be little difference here in Cle. Think about it.

To piggy back... think about our 08' draft class. Granted we traded a few pics away are ANY of these guys still on the roster with the exception of Hall? Almost the entire draft 2008 draft class is no longer with us. Think about that for a minute.

Rnd 4 Beau Bell

Rnd 4 Martin Rucker

Rnd 6 Ahtyba Rubin

Rnd 6 Paul Hubbard

Rnd 7 Alex Hall

I would focus on this poor offense first. We continue to pass on playmakers early in the first round every year. We passed on Adrian Peterson in 07, because we thought Lewis still had some go left. We had Luke McCown and Jeff Garcia under center but passed on Big Ben for Kellen Winslow in 04'. We trade down to accumulate more players which seem to dont even make the roster. We need playmakers to build around... we need an idendity of some sort.

on a personal level, if he was drunk, i hope he at least goes to prison for the rest of his life. the victim's family needs some serious, old-school justice, and prison is a start, though having him executed would, to me, be a far superior solution.

from a business standpoint, goodell's going to kick stallworth out of the league because he drove drunk and killed someone. the league will likely suspend him indefinitely pending the results of his trial, then formally kick him out once he's found guilty, thus negating his contract entirely and saving us the cap hit.

in the event he's found innocent, we'll have to take either the cap hit or the PR hit, and i know which one mankok will go for.

this is a very interesting test for goodell, and i'm surprised he hasn't already taken action. he needs to, and soon.

How can Goodell take action on an issue that has not fully been verified yet? Secondly... you would like to see him spend the rest of his life in jail? My twin nephews were shot and killed a week ago along with their mother, sister and aunt. The man who did it... went to jail for murder once before and was released. Those... type of individuals should spend life in prison! Stallworth most likely got wasted earlier that night/morning... slept till 7ish and headed home with a freakish hangover and accidently hit this poor man. Yet he deserves life or the death pen.??? What kind of justice is that? Correctional Facilities are supposed to "correct" not torture for life ones -ONE mistake.

whatdaya mean IF we lose stallworth?

and still, no.

So are you comfortable with Edwards at #1 and I'm assuming Cribbs or Hubbard at #2??? With who Steptoe at Slot?

John McClane said:

I really can't judge Savage on the injured guys like Bentley and Baxter. Those are clearly freak injuries and think may have turned out different if they were healthy

None the less... we had no (quality) depth at almost any position. Especially on Defense. Get deph for less... and play big in the draft. Im thinkin thats the philosophy in the FO right now.

John McClane said:

Our defense has been suspect ever since we came back, we seriously have a chance to upgrade the talent on defense to get the ball rolling for the long term. I wouldn't pick offense in the top part of the draft unless it was a tackle, guard or center.

And if we loose Stallworth then what? Would you go WR at #5 or #36?

Lets not kick Mangini and Kokinis to the curb just yet. They are taking a different approach than their predescers did. Savage loved to grab big names through FA (though didnt always work out so well...ei: LeCharles Bently). Looks like the new regime is suring us up at depth first. Which we had zero lasts year after all the injuries. As much as you probably dont want to hear it... but building a playoff calibur team takes time.... I foresee ManKok picking up some playmakers in the draft. Lets not forget its extremely early... I bet were going to see some big trades in the near future as well.

He brought in Frye that was his personal choice. Quinn has proven nothing. Thomas was not worth the number three pick in the draft albeit he is good. Wimbley is average and one dimensional and has been exposed and his performance is way less than the 11 pick in the draft. Rogers will be gone in three years and he gave a solid CB and third rounder for him no great shakes there. Jamal Lewis is washed up caput. K2 was not brought in by Sewage he was brought in by Butch. Edwards was the 3 pick in the draft and has underachieved the three pick should perennial all pro. He kept Suggs and Green and paid a truckload to both proclaiming to emerge big time. He passed on Adrian Peterson, Willie Parker, and several other RB's to be named later to keep those stiffs.

He also brought in Andruzzi, Baxter, Shaffer, Washington, McGinest at way more money than their empty or half full tanks were worth.

He paid Cutch and Roye three times their worth

I got twenty five other blunders that Sewage made. He stank from the beginning by signing Dilfer and letting Henry go and compounded itazn right up to the end. GOOD RIDDANCE

Still.... Savage left it better than when he got it. You made some valid points but he did put some playmakers and pro bowlers on our team. Theres no changing that.
