Wow, what a great guy to defend and look up to. He turned Ohio State into a criminal filled fukking joke like Florida, congrats.  What players have been crimibals under his tenure? And he's git a brain cyst u did read that right? U would lying in the tent unresponsive from those migraines. He'scbeen dealing with them for years

I lost yours when my old phone had to be replaced.

Nobody knows but me, Brother Steve. Nobody knows but me.

Jack graduated from UCONN in May. We Just got back from taking him to Milwaukee, where he will take part in the, "Teach For America" program. He will be teaching in inner-city Milwaukee (full salary, benefits, etc.) and will be taking night courses at Marquette. In two years, he will have satisfied his commitment to TFA and will have earned a M.A. in Education from Marquette. Then he is a free agent - he can continue in Milwaukee, go to earn a higher degree in Education or something else, return to CT, etc. We will miss him dearly but am very proud and happy that he found something right out of school. Something he is suited for. Yes, time does fly. Somewhere - deep in WSS' website - is a picture of the 4 Bassilakis' standing on stage with Steve at PIB. Years ago that took only days to transpire. Thanks for asking Zombo

Thanks Tom! Very thoughtful for you to call in. I will continue to play WSS stuff in the coming weeks. I try to 'mix it up' a bit by playing artists I haven't played yet. At the same time, I do go back to artists - not necessarily the same songs - as they deserve to be heard. Nice thing about college radio is I make my own playlist. No directives, as long as I comply with FCC regulations. I do not get political but I will open next week with a couple of things by Curtis Mayfield. What was pertinent then is even more pertinent in 2016. The music will speak for itself - no need for me to blabber any more than I have to and eat up valuable music time. PS Lot's of the stuff I play comes out of Nashville, albeit not anything you'd hear on so-called "Country Music" stations.

@chicopee-john said: Thanks, Steve. I'll contact him and see if he'd like to send some CDs that I can play. A number of - mostly, but not all - under the radar folks have been more than happy to get their music into new ears. I've played your, "Road To Canaan" several times - it is a KILLER song. Thank you my friend. It's one that I especially like.WSS

"If we can make it through December" was almost a living anthem for me and my wife. Christmas always broke us but everything always worked itself out. Thank you for your music Merle. RIP

I think Akron General Hospital has a different policy. WSS Yeah, it varies from profession to profession, of course. I can go to the pub for lunch and have a pint or two as long as it doesn't impair my ability to work. If I get wasted at lunchtime that might be an issue. Medical professionals of course, probably different rules, and in general civil servants.

We could celebrate St. Andrew's Day..... On November 30th and drink some scotch. Patron Saint of Scotland Our Lady of Guadelupe...December 9th and drink some tequila. Patron Saint of Mexico St. Basil's Day....January 1st and drink some Vodka. Patron Saint of Russia St. George's Day...April 23d and drink some piss warm beer. (or substitute) Patron Saint of England St. Denis Day...October 9th and drink some cognac or French Wine. (and drink a toast to John Lennon) St. Anne's day...July 26th and drink some Molsens or LaBatts. Patron St. of Canada We could go on.. In fact, each denizen of this board could have their own day. Look at this one: St Horta Tomorrow March 18. http://www.americancatholic.org/Features/Saints/saint.aspx?id=1328&calendar=1

@chicopee-john said:Not to be The Police, but I believe you mean John Kay, not Peter Wolf of J. Geils fame. That would be correct... and feel free to do so... Now the question is which did I get wrong? The group or the frontman? Appears it was the frontman... Steppenwolf, Redbone, Fanny, Dan Hick And The Hot Licks - Public Hall - August 21,1971 ... Show Date: August 21, 1971; Show Venue: Public Hall; Tickets: $4.50 Adv / $5.50 Door; Showtime: 7: ... Website: www.clevelandrockandroll.com ... Don't remember Fanny playing, but then my date and I "were delayed in our arrival". But get a load of those outrageous ticket prices...

Died on the same day. Just like Thomas Jefferson and John Adams.
