in 2007 our offense was on fire and our defense was terrible and we took whatever little the defense was willing to give the offense. Now in 2009, the roles are completely reversed. Our defense is actually playing half decently considering the starting field position of the opposing teams and the time they spend on the field. And our offense is the side of the ball that is contributing absolutely nothing.

I just find it interesting.

And i loved the hits on cutler, loved the goal line stand, and even Rob Ryan getting into it with cutler, i was yelling "F You" at the TV when wimbley i think knocked the pass down. And apparently Ryan was thinking/saying the same thing.

He's got my vote for interim if we need it. Or at least continuing as DC during a coaching change.

With all of the missed tackles, lack of energy/pressure/intelligence on defense it just looks like the defense is not even trying at all.

On the offensive side of the ball, barely trying to get the ball to cribbs, Anderson doing his fumbled snaps/ strips/ interception routine. Oh and the continuously going to MoMass who is getting schooled by harris over and over again.

I really just dont even think we are trying to win. Its almost like we are content with 1-15 and waiting for next years draft.

This is the most depressing browns team ive seen. I tend to drink every sunday watching the game to try and take some of the edge off.

If the players and coaching staff are content with losing every game then let the fans know so we can turn on the TV next april for the draft.

well that is what i am unclear about. If they were to say get another third rounder obviously at a different position. can that be given to us... or do we get their 2nd round? I dont really know the rules that go along with all that.

oh wait. jets owe us a 3rd rounder. if the lito pick ends up being their sole third rounder. then they no longer have a 3rd rounder to give us, and we get a 2nd? Could they possibly grab another 3rd round pick via a trade to give to us so we dont get a 2nd rounder?

haha not really. i never really followed how those conditional picks worked at the end of the season. but if you could try explaining it i would like to figure it out. By the way how many picks have the browns stockpiled for next years draft?

i remember what 2 seasons ago there was a 2point conversoin we did against the cardinals where we ran Anderson outside the numbers to edwards to 'talk about the play' and we snapped the ball to cribbs who faked a run and threw the ball to winslow in the endzone.

Anyone else remember that?

we just need to have cribbs throw the ball as a suprise option. Not as a designed play. Run first, throw if its open.

since DA is a turnover machine. Put Brady back in. If brady really just is terrible as well. then hell put Ratliff in and see what he can do. Just know where you stand with each QB and make a decision for next season.

is that 3 starts from last year? and the 3 from this year? So MANGINI gave him 3 starts. I liked his starts last season. he played well if i remember correctly until he got hurt. This season he started against Min/Den/Bal all which have good defenses in a new system with players who were still working out what to do.

To say that HE sucked ass is not a fair observation. The offense as a whole sucked. With DA at QB i could say that the offense is doing better than it had been in the first 3 games. But is it because anderson is at the helm. or is it because the offense is learning the system finally. I don't think we can judge it until we put brady back in. So.... i really dont think that Brady proved he sucked BEYOND ALL DOUBT. because i am not convinced.

i give credit to the jets for having backbone and sticking with their decision to start their rookie quarterback. You really think that if mangini had actually drafted sanchez that he would have stuck with him this long? How long did he give brady?

The QB Play was not the only problem. i saw poor tackling and wide open opposing recievers. But all the fumbles and turnovers has to wear down our defense. as we had trouble putting drives together.

well. as the offense is getting more used to the playbook and whatnot. why not give quinn a chance again with the improved play on offense. He was in when everyone was doing terrible. Let him give it another shot against not a top5 defense.

i mean we have the confidence in cribbs to do a 3rd down run. i think we need to do as much as we can to get this man the ball in some space.

i am mad beyond belief. these refs are like 4th down and they came up short. ehhhh just give it to them.

I like see the offense opening up and having cribbs at QB. Although the interception was thrown in the redzone, i think it is a good try at trying to make something happen with the offense.
