After listening to that abortion of a press conference, any reasonable person would have to conclude that Haslam is the problem. At this juncture, I wish he'd have gone down in the Pilot Flying J scandal and had the franchise yanked from him. I wouldn't let that silver spooned fool flip burgers at a McDonalds.

Haslam is the Problem -
Nice Article/Interview for Baker Mayfield EnthusiastsI hate to get this cluster back on topic, but here's another interesting positive article on Mayfield-

Why did we let go of Sean Jones? They should have gotten one more good year out of Milt Plum.
-
Kenny Britt - Congrats! He's made the same contribution to the Pats that he did for the Browns. At least he's consistent.
BTW, 8 players had catches for the Pats yesterday. How far down the old depth chart do you think head case Kenny is?

Why are we looking for an offensive coordinator? -
Why are we looking for an offensive coordinator? They need an OC because Hue tries to be:
1) Head Coach;
2) OC;
3) QB mentor and whisperer.
As a result, he does all of those jobs poorly and that results in him being unable to do simple **** like manage the clock, make challenges, get plays in on time, etc. The reasons are quite simple (much like those who don't see the need).

Trent Dilfer says Rosen has "changed, grew for the better"Here's the quote from Peter King's MMQB this week-
“Of all my Elite 11 prospects, I probably was hardest on him. We didn’t get along well. He did not like me at all. I was hard on him because I saw greatness in him and I wanted to bring it out. At 17, he was a little uncoachable and a little entitled. … We had him as a counselor last year. I could not have been more impressed. He’s done a 180. He’s a different type of kid than people remember him being. He’s growing up and he wants to be great. He’s intellectual. He has conviction … I was with him for four days this summer. I said, ‘I think you have what it takes to be special. Don’t let people coach it out of you.’ Half the GMs won’t like him. They will feel threatened by him … Thirty-two out of 32 people will say Sam Darnold has all the right stuff. He just kind of makes everyone feel good. Josh is gonna piss off half the people. But the people that get it, the people that really like him, the people that understand what it means to be the best at the highest level, will get that he has that stuff.”— Trent Dilfer, the head coach of Elite 11, the high-school quarterback showcase and competition, founded in 1999, on “The Rich Eisen Show,’’ talking about first-round quarterback prospect Josh Rosen of UCLA. -
Tabor On The MoveThe guy was responsible for the worst guys on the worst team in the history of professional football. What the hell would you expect?
-
Elliot WolfeESPN has reported he's being hired as assistant GM. Nice move for the Browns.
-
Support Hue For One More Year?Support him or not, he's going to be there so to expend any energy otherwise is a waste of time.
-
Elliot WolfeAll of his experience is with Green Bay, but they've had a nice run. Hell, if he's half the personnel guy his dad was, he'll be twice what the Browns have had since 1999.
-
it's not an either/or thing(Hue vs 'are the players good enough')....Lack of talent + poor coaching= 1 and 31. Simple math.
-
The Drop....A new cursed play is born. There were lot of bad overvalued WRs in last year's draft. He was the first of those taken.
As for the drop, I can't imagine a more apt end to that abominable season.

Dorsey was reportedly GM who wanted "nothing to do" with RosenHmmmm, at the time he said at least” two general managers said they had no interest in Rosen, Dorsey was not a GM.
-
Logic must win out over Browns keeping Hue JacksonHue's been given one of the worst rosters in the NFL. Hue has returned the favor by being one of the most inept coaches in the NFL. They've all been effed by the worst ownership in the NFL...
-
Josh Rosen? This is all just posturing by the Rosen camp. They'll now of course deny it and will never fess up that they leaked it. In reality, he'd be a fool to go back to college as he'll only give the skeptics another year to find his flaws and likely ruin his chance to be the number one pick. The NFL and the NFLPA shouldn't let a college player dictate the draft, but after letting guys like Elway and Eli Manning manipulate the system, the cat is out of the bag.
All that being said, why would the kid every want to come to this historically bad $h!+ show?
-
This isnt coaching...There's plenty of blame to go around. From Jimmy Haslam through the coaching staff down to the last guy in the practice roster. A team can't be the worst team in NFL history without everyone making a contribution to the $hit show.
-
***Official Browns @ Bears Game Day Thread***Glad to see them spreading the awful around to all aspects of the game.
-
No Soup (or Pro Bowl) for you!So, just to clarify, the worst team in the NFL on the worst losing jag in NFL history, has no players among the league's elite. Shocker.

"Why the Cleveland Browns don't win?"
