What's up Browns fans,
We at DraftnikCentral.com would like to personally invite you to come & check out some of our unique Cleveland Browns draft related content. We're a relatively new NFL Draft website full of some guys that are just as hardcore about the NFL and the draft as you guys are about the Cleveland Browns.
Click the links below of the Browns draft picks to check out their player profiles. You will notice for some guys, they have what we call "Game Reviews", which are a unique set of measureables explained in more detail below. You will also find all the standard measureables such as Bench Press, 40 Time, etc. for the different prospects but also a set of unique measureables for each, for example Explosive Power, Speed/Quickness Differential, different lengths of Momentum, with more to come. Pro day information is not up at this time but we're working on that, as well as adding more statistics.

Due to limited time we weren't able to post as many scouting reports as we would have liked but here is a sample of Trent Richardson's:
Athleticism: Trent Richardson possesses great athleticism for a HB of his size. He has very good top end speed which allows him to break off long runs and run away from defenses if he gets a seam. Richardson also possesses a very rare ability to stop and start on a dime, something you almost never see from a 220+ pound back. He has good but not great acceleration, he definitely doesn't have the getup of Lamar Miller. He does have excellent COD skills and can cut on a dime though. Finally, Richardson has off the charts balance. He is very hard to knock off his feet and will bounce off tacklers as if it is nothing.Vision: Richardson's vision is a bit hard to evaluate due to Alabama having one of the best offensive lines in the NCAA. Their OL is often getting push and opening up seams to run through. With that said, Richardson does have a knack for finding cutback lanes and finding the right seam. On outside runs, he does a very nice job of getting North as soon as a seam opens up. On the inside, he's very adept at making quick cuts in the backfield to hit the backside seam. From everything I've seen, I'd say he has very good vision that will serve him well in the NFL. Richardson is also very decisive when he runs and hits the hole fast and hard. It makes him very hard to tackle for a loss. However, his decisiveness can be somewhat of a negative as he ocassionally runs into his blockers. With improved patience he could allow his blocks to setup better downfield.
Build: Richardson's build is what I'd call a physical masterpiece. It's exactly what I look for in a runner. At 5'11", he's short enough that he has a low center of gravity and isn't overly susceptible to low tackles. Richardson has a very strong lower base, his legs are thick and very powerful. Richardson also has a muscular and toned upper-body but he isn't overly top heavy. At around 225 pounds, he has the bulk and muscular body to take the pounding from the NFL.
As previously mentioned, one of the many things that allows us to stand out from the crowd are our unique Game Reviews. Which is a compilation of some advanced statistics taken over the course of a game for an individual prospect, sticking just to the facts as we see them. The intent is to capture a small glimpse of what you may expect out of a guy. We still haven't gotten the functionality up for QB's, OL, DE's yet so unfortunately not all players have them readily available but you will find many for some of the better players that were taken in this years draft, with many more still yet to come.
You can also see how the Browns draft picks stacked up against the rest of the draft class with our comprehensive Combine Tracker. Which allows an endless amount of combinations for sorting of all the combine information.
That's just the beginning though. Wish the Browns would have taken someone else in the 2012 NFL Draft? Finally someone has put the draft in your hands with DraftnikCentral.com's Annual Hindsight Draft. Which gives you the control to make the picks for the Browns, based on who was available at/after each of their picks. Keep the ones you like, change the ones you don't. That simple. Even better, you can track your draft in the next few years to see how well you stacked up against the real Cleveland Browns draft and/or against your friends. This is available until 6/1/2012.
If you follow the NFL draft closely and feel like you have a good handle on the draft picks or are just a fan of friendly quizzes or competition, check out our Best of the Best and Draftnik Challenges. Also available until 6/1/2012.
The Draftnik Challenge is a unique set of 20 hand selected draft related questions geared towards testing your knowledge in both general and specialty draft related categories. They have no pre-conceived answers at this time. That allows us to reflect back on them as a community and possibly score at a later date. Best of the Best is a survey taken of who you think will ultimately become the best player at each position from a list of players chosen within the first three rounds of an NFL draft class. For example, Andrew Luck as a selection for the best QB taken in the 2012 draft. That you can also reflect back on, at a later date.
We have a lot of stuff coming down the pipeline throughout the 2013 season. We will be adding article functionality soon. More distinguishable forums. More Game Reviews. Revamped Game Reviews. More interviews. Rankings. And many more tools for you, the football fan, to use for future Browns drafts and draft picks.
Stop on by and get your draft on!
