For anyone who is interested, NFLN will repeat the game Monday at 1pm...hopefully there will be no breaking news to preempt the second half this time around.

Being in Florida, I listened to the game on the Browns' site and followed the stats and highlights on nfl.com.

From what I heard/saw, I'm very optimistic about Kizer, but one preseason game does not a career make...especially against the third stringers. Let's hope he continues to improve and that Hue will give him his chance when he is ready to take over

Today's buzz is that Jaguars' OT Braden Albert wants to un-retire. It looks like the Jags are having second thoughts about whether or not they want to fork over a base salary of $8.875 million to Albert, so word is that they are considering releasing him once he reports back to camp. In my opinion, if the Browns have the cap space they need to jump on this guy as soon as he hits the market. Could you imagine having Pro Bowl bookends on the OL? I think Albert might be the final piece to give the Browns the #1 OL in the league. Wouldn't it be sweet to go from having our QBs constantly being pummeled last year to our QBs having all the time they need this year? That's not to mention the benefit to our running game. What do the rest of you think about this?

Hue Jackson released a statement this morning, naming Osweiler the starter for the Saints game, but he made it clear that the starting job on opening day is still up for grabs...

With his initials being B.O. I don't know why the Texans were so surprised when it turned out that he stinks...

I think that if JG hadn't gotten into trouble until he'd had three years in the league under his belt AND he was with one of the leagues pet teams (Patriots, Cowboys, etc) that can do whatever they like and just get a slap on the wrist, he would have been back playing two years ago. But since he plays for the Browns, I honestly don't see him ever being reinstated unless we trade him to the Patriots, and then he would be reinstated within a month or so. Just sayin...
