there are "recognition" months for just about every ethnicity and also a month dedicated to women.

they even get into college more easily than white males. most colleges go off of a point system that you earn points for varios things (GPA, class rank, exracurricular activities, leadership in school clubs, ethnicity, sex)..........well, a couple yrs ago boston college had a story done about how a student needs a score of 600pts to be accepted, and just for being black, indian, oriental, or hispanic you got 400pts right off the bat!!!!!!! and if you were a woman, you got an aditional 50pts!!!!

and don't even get me started on affirmative action.
