Is anyone else disappointed in the fact we did not jump the 6 or 7 spots to grab this guy before the end of 2nd round before the giants. I think we could have gave up some minimal picks for this and I was just disappointed when we did not go grab him.

My friend has run into him out a lot around here. He really does seem like he is taking to the town and making it home. I really am glad to have this type of guy on our team. My friend even got a pic and auto. from him.

I think what a lot of people forget (because of about 5 WR is recent history) is that normal WR take about 3 years to get their feet on the ground. If you look at the history of WR they tend to have so so years first and second year. Third year is when they will break out or bust. Me personally I am going to wait until the end of this year before I start writing off Robo and MoMass.

The funny part is there was a LeBron kiss ass day in NY. It was every time the man walked in to give the knicks a good spanking they would line up outside the arena like a row of cirus seals and start blowing as he walked in. Learner brought Holmgren in here to build the organization. To have guys that can come in from lower positions as we go along. Just like in football I am sure he has guys below him that area learning the game and the position above them. He is not building one job he is building front office and a future.

It sounds like the browns are active but not shooting to break the bank but trying to get some quality players. I mean with the picks we got and possible amount of players we can get I think we will be alright.

BEREA, Ohio--Cleveland Browns president Mike Holmgren met with the media Friday following the contract signing of Pro Bowl kick returner Josh Cribbs.

But Holmgren also had a lot to say about the state of the team now that free agency has opened.

Here are some notes:

• Holmgren said the team is "actively" looking at quarterbacks, either via trades or free agency. Holmgren also cautioned that the team is still considering its own quarterbacks in Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson. But it appears Anderson likely will be released before his $2 million roster bonus is due in two weeks.
• One key for getting Cribbs' contract complete was not to tear up the three years remaining on his deal. So the two sides reached a happy medium by adding money to the original contract. The total value with incentives could be worth as much as $18.5 million.
• Holmgren said the Browns have had discussions about the receiver position, but not nearly as much as the quarterbacks. Holmgren didn't think Cleveland’s thin receiving corps would hurt the team's ability to convince another quarterback to come to Cleveland.
• Overall the Browns currently are "as active as can be," according to Holmgren. So far the team traded defensive lineman Corey Williams to the Detroit Lions and restructured Cribbs' deal. But you get the sense this team is not done trying to build its roster. The Browns also have 11 draft picks, including nine in the first five rounds.
• Holmgren also confirmed that free-agent linebacker Scott Fujita will visit with the Browns on Saturday.

He would be a great guy to see bernie kosar learn from and take control of the team after bill gets it up and running. To me I love this idea. I also saw this listed on Sunday Night Football too!
