Baker Mayfield

The Browns Board

  • Another awful performance by a mediocre quarterback. I can't wait to hear the Baker apologists this week: "But his shoulder", "But, but it was a divisional game and the Steelers tried harder".

Chubb, Odell, Landry, Wills, Conklin all played and Baker still stunk up the joint. It's not injuries or the offense....Baker IS the problem!!!! How you can put up 10 points with the talent around him is beyond me. We need to make a serious play for Aaron Rodgers or Deshaun Watson (if he clears his legal problems) in the offseason. We'll be lucky to make the playoffs this year with Baker, let alone be the Super Bowl contender we all hoped they would be.

He didn't stink up the joint, my goodness.

OBJ quits a route on a TD pass. Landry uncharacteristically drops a few & fumbles. Hooper dropped a high pass in the 1st quarter at the 10 yard line.

Schwartz, the speedster, hasn't earned a spot on the field for whatever reason.

Baker wasn't a problem at all today.

Of course, it's everyone's fault except Baker. Classic Baker apologist take. It didn't take long for a Baker apologist to start throwing out the excuses. There's no excuse for a team to score 10 points with the talent we have. A real QB finds ways to get it done, he overcomes obstacles. Baker is mediocre, that's it.

Obstacles. Did you comprehend what I wrote? It's not being an apologist.

When a QB puts the ball where it's supposed to be,and the WR doesn't make the play, it's not on the QB.

NFL games are decided by 4 or 5 plays usually. WRs, like QBs, are paid to make plays.

You can be all anti-Baker if you want, but look at today objectively and you'll see Baker was fine today.

It's the fucking NFL. There will be a few drops here and there by receivers. It happens every game. No team has a 100% catch rate.

I'm looking at it objectively: Baker sucks.

  • Not many offensive players helped Baker today, AND a discussion can be made regarding Baker's ultimate "ceiling".

It doesn't have to be one or the other.

Baker sucks. Zombo sucks. OBJ sucks. Landry sucks. Biden sucks. Stefanski sucks. He’s been horrendous this year.

    the defense actually played well

So politics has to be injected into every single thing this day in age? Can't even watch a video about making pizza dough without someone mentioning Biden's name OR the orange sphincter. Thanks for being that guy, douche.

  • One good hit and he's out for the season.

He took some big hits today and kept on going. Maybe if we had WR’s that could catch and hold onto the ball we could get something accomplished

Another Baker apologist. I'm going to shut you Baker idiots up with the dropped passes. There are 20 teams that have more dropped passes than us. So STFU.

Oh my god, oh no!!! Some drops and one turnover, no quarterback can possibly overcome that!!! Loser Baker apologist attitude. Eat a dick.

  • I didn't see a snap today so I have no idea, but does anyone think that if Case would've started today that the O would've put up more than 10?

(judging by the current WR hate, I'm guessing maybe not)

And Baker overthrew OBJ to get a go ahead score. His long accuracy just isn't there anymore. The only completion he had where the ball went 20+ yards in the air was thrown behind Higgins. The Steelers defense was able to sell out on the handoff on 4th and 1 because they KNOW Baker isn't going to sneak it. The guy is holding the rest of the offense back. Get your fucking surgery, go on IR, and quit taking first team reps from Case.

The receivers are overpaid. Landry's performance was awful.

This team can't play a complete game. They cause way too many penalties.

Ultimately, this is a failure of the head coach. He really needs to step the fuck up.

Abso-fucking-lutely. Chubb started off running the ball well and went pass happy after that. On top of D'Earnest Johnson having 140 yards last week, why didn't we see a one two punch of Chubb and Johnson?

The tone of this game was set that it was going to be a low scoring game. And the game was practically handed to Cleveland on a silver platter when their kicker went down. And in typical Cleveland fashion we were like "no really, we don't want it. TAKE IT!!!"

I remember telling someone during the game right after the kicker went down that if Cleveland can't win this then I don't know what to think. Ah, there's that familiar feeling that only Browns fans know, "What the fuck did I just watch?"

He didn’t overthrow OBJ   OBJ went for a spectacular 1 handed catch. When all he needed to do was finish the route.

But I have never seen more homosecual activity on the Browns Board than I do right now.

Gays to the left, gays to the right. But I'm cool with it. Except the pooofy real gay ones.

I have no problem with gay people. My friend, who was a gay women, introduced me to my wife.

I just don’t understand the fact that people like saying crap like “eat a dick”. Unless that’s there preference

  • Baker out there didn't give us an edge, what was the point of risking more severe injury? Injured Baker can't throw accurately downfield like Keenum so should've rested him till the Cincy game at least. Game plan was uninspiring, I was honestly expecting more of a 1-2 punch of Chubb and Johnson and the defense can never make a stop when it's needed. The season isn't over but the division is much more competitive than I thought it would be so a playoff spot is not a given.

OBJ tried for a spectacular 1 handed catch. He could’ve easily caught it  by just being a normal receiver

The division winner might be 10-7. At best 11-6.
