i could of swore i seen Brady Quinn slip on that Ratliff jersey before the game. The INT due to the underthrow to Robo was classic Quinn.

WTAM is saying he has admitted to making up his mind but isn't saying. Doesn't say when he'll say.

At this point it would be a huge shock if it isn't Quinn. This really has been over since before camp. DA would have had to knock Quinn out to win the job and instead he was beaten straight up, although he did play pretty well.

quinns qb rating is ever so slightly above DA's...you quinn fans really make me wonder what your motivation is?I saw on another board where someone was actually advocating quinn as the starter for aesthetic reasons...their point being we need a "face" for our franchise..quinn was nothing much in college..I guess no one remembers quinns draft day,when team after team passed on him..when they moved him into a private room away from the cameras so no one could see him cry. If quinn is the starter,and stinks up the joint I will wait with great anticipation to see how all your quimmers...er quinners spin your way outta that one.

I really think it is pretty much dead even. DA made some really nice throws. How many 20 plus yard gains did he get?

BQ has looked really sharp and has good pocket presence. Both converted on 3rd downs and have drove the ball. All while switching series and building no momentum.

With that said I want to go with brady just to see what he is made of.

But don't get it wrong. There was no clear cut starter from what we have seen.

Well DA is always like that, throws 2-3 really nice long passes and then does something really bad, like take a sack, force something, turnover, or gets Browns a delay of game.. or...you get the point. DA lives and dies by the long ball. Browns have to punt a lot because of him. BQ seems to sustain drives much better. Managing, eating clock and allowing the Browns more control during most game scenarios. Mangini has said he wants to see consistency even in adversity, and that's BQ, not DA. That's huge difference and seems to me BQ is way ahead.

I remember last year in an interview, BQ said "everytime we get the ball, I feel like we can score and always want the team to think positive"

This year in an interview, DA said "The main thing I learned it's not that bad if you have to punt"

Since when is 86.1 ever so slightly higher than 51.3? Dude that is a 35 point swing on the QBR.

Not much in college? Dude was a great college QB. Though that certainly doesn't mean he will be a great NFL QB.

Remember when Aaron Rogers fell and team after team passed on him? You know, the guy who is the reason there is a private room away from the cameras now.

86.1 compared to 51.3 is ever so slightly higher?

BQ's completion is 67.7% compared to DA's 57.7%

BQ's int % is 3.2% and DA's is 7.7%

Look at the stats and show me where DA is even close.

OK, you guys want a COMPLETE breakdown:

Drives

BQ: 8

DA: 9

Offensive Ball Movement (total TEAM yds while at QB including rushing)

BQ: 324

DA: 263

Average Drive:

BQ: 40.5

DA: 29.2

Drives less than 20 yards:

BQ: 2

DA: 4

Drives less than 10 yards:

BQ: 1

DA: 3

Turnovers:

BQ: 1

DA: 2

Completion %:

BQ: 67.7

DA: 57.7

(this kind of explains the longer drive average, don't you think?)

Basically, what all this is saying is that Quinn will give the Browns defense a much better chance of NOT giving up tons of points. His drives are longer, even when they don't end up in points. The Browns offense will control the clock better with BQ at the helm...and he is less likely to turn the ball over.

This all adds up to a less exciting...but far more competitive team. I will take a winning season over a couple of ooooh ahhh plays any time.

I guess my point was, I think we will have fewer "OOOH, AHHH" plays with BQ at the helm. More of a blue collar, work your way down the field type offense. Personally, I favor that. I prefer making the other team's offense sit and spin for 7+ minutes while they watch you march slowly down the field for a score.

I also think WINNING is far more exciting than a 79 yard TD bomb. But that is just me.
