My local neighborhood MCDonalds is advertising $18 an hour plus a $1000 sign on bonus.

Looks like today’s kids think they are worth more than that to fry a burger, or pour a cup of coffee.

Doesn't really matter it will all be self serve through an app. Dirt balls that won't work for 15 bucks an hour won't work at all because Woody's Administration of choice will just send them checks. Pretty simple. Video game weed couch TV versus frying hamburgers and putting them in a bag.

If that's what you decided then alright...

No need to do anything. The trickle down will kick in any minute... Surely

But I'll be dead and I don't care about the kid or kids you and your partner adopt.

    Nothing lasts forever.

But hey all those out of work Associate's degrees kids can play Warcraft online.

That article states that China is going to be the top dog, but not about how they got there. Only thing mentioned was strict lockdowns...

But hey, no need to innovate and productivity is overrated. Just find more poor people!

I'm sure they're doing fine.... Oh wait

Strict lockdowns?  You think that's the key?

Christ Steve. Read the articles you post. Then try to actually read what I post. Then try to not put words in my mouth.

If you can do all of that, let me know

Or you're just trying to pull off of the wealth gap graphs ... Which would be something you'd try to do

You need to look at the big picture. You won't. So who cares. If you're too stupid to see that empires rise and fall then carry on Pollyanna. If you care to do anything but gripe you can easily look up the changing tide of world powers over the last two or three hundred years. But no problem America's going to be on top for eternity.

And I'm not saying that your boy is the sole cause of the Chinese take over but he certainly isn't helping. And just like everywhere else throughout time children born into a world dominated by the Chinese will not do any difference and grandparents telling them history will just be fairy tales.

One could argue that sentiment is the reason why our federal deficit is as huge as it is and continues to grow. Why should the Boomer's care how big the deficit gets if they're going to be dead before the bill comes due? After all, they won't be around to pay for the continued kicking of the can down the road; let their children's and grandchildren's generation deal with the results of the Boomer's poor fiscal decision.

Hard to blame the quality of the apples that fall from the tree when the tree is rotten to begin with. GenX and millennials are their parent's children.

Sure one certainly could. If, of course, one was just looking for somebody to blame. When I see the other Generations doing something about it rather than point fingers I will put more stock in to that theory. I don't think it's the Boomers, though, who put Joe Biden into office and his merry band of socialists and their policies that fuel the free shit express as they give the Weimar Republic a run for their money.

Of course in this case I'm not supporting the policies that are going to make things so bad for the millennials kids. That's their own doing so fuck  'em.
