It's relative. Just like when "you guys"0 meaning the lefties and Trump haters you flock with call Trump traitor or Nazi or dictator or whatever other ridiculous s*** you spout.

But regardless conservatives I think still own the scoreboard. Love it or not things were pretty good during the Trump Administration and they are the worst in recent history now.

    WSS

Scoreboard? Conservatives always lose in the long run.

    Slavery outlawed
    Women getting the vote
    Civil Rights
    Desegregation
    Social Security
    Medicare/Medicaid
    5 day work week
    Worker rights
    Gay marriage

That is just off the top of my head. Change is going to happen, no matter some much you guys' cry about it.

I did remember a win for you conservatives. Flooded the country with guns and reduced the tax rate for super rich.

To borrow from Reagan- "Liberals know so much that isn't so"

Fast Facts that are good for you to know:

The conservative movement as we know it didn't start until the 1930's

It was liberalism in its day that supported slavery. John Locke known as the "father of liberalism" tried to rationalize its legitimacy.

The Republican party was formed for the purpose of banning slavery.

Although those against the Civil Rights act were Democrat conservatives, you should be aware of the fact the 14th Amendment was written by Republicans and The Civil Rights Act was passed thanks to Republicans. More Dems opposed it.

As mentioned, Conservatism didn't exist in 1920. Male chauvinism at the time knew no boundaries or affiliations. Furthermore, it was the Republicans who championed the women's right to vote.

Social Security proposed by Roosevelt himself was not a liberal/conservative thing as well. Initially opposed by Republicans but in the end gained overwhelming support.

Granted Republicans have opposed Labor Unions, but again has nothing to do with "conservatism losing" simply because blue collar workers are largely conservative. My old man voted Dem and was pro union and a conservative. To suggest conservatives were against the 5-day work week is absurd.

Gay marriage who cares. You win. Good for you.

Also, you may have been taught that the white man invented slavery. They did not.

No doubt the Dems back in the day proposed some great things. The GI Bill for example. But yesterday's Democrat is todays Demonrat, and certainly not a JFK Democrat who spoke like a conservative and would be ripped to shreds by you guys.

  • Speaking of JFK - we watched "PT109" last night. He was the serious real deal. If you read "Why England Slept" ...you will read some excellent, brilliant stuff like no democrat today is capable of even pretending to understand.

The true story of JFK in "PT109", verified by every sailor involved back then - he was a serious leader, had tremendous integrity, all the values that made for great men.

I didn't agree with Hubert Humphrey all that much, but most folks respected him. etc etc. lbj was a slut of a politician, it happens with either political party.

but today's dem party - is no longer an American political party. It's a deep state, corrupt bunch of losers who are all in for power, wealth, and selling out to continue to be "safe" from harassment by the collective. It's very much, now, like the "Star Trek" borg.

Remember the "borg" ? "We will assimilate you".

if they can't assimilate you, they will destroy you - your reputation, maybe end your life. (see the several people who crossed the clintons, and ended up dead. (like foster - "suicide". another "plane crash". etc etc etc.

Todays "dems" are very, very much like the early nazi party in PRE WWII history.

I won't go into that comparison here, but it has been made by some who LIVED back then, and wrote about it.

At every turn - we don't matter to the left - we are in their way. Their steamroller intends to dominate every single aspect of our American lives as they can muster an idea about.

Per the IRS more than doubling in size - only about those rich companies? seriously ? do they really think there are 87,000 companies out there who don't pay their "fair share" ??? or more? and they need armed? The IRS can't just refer to the corrupt fbi to storm a company with THEIR GUNS?

Arming the doj? EPA? etc etc?

Be very afraid - if a political party decided they were going to change America to where they never lost control - that political party would be doing exactly what the "dems" are doing today.

Because any party that was planning on never losing control of America - would know that America would never go for their Constiution/Bill of Rights to be destroyed. So, ahead of time, they put armed threats into every dept of the gov.

and "lean" on every single American to lose more and more of their wealth - because socialism "is a great idea, until yu run out of other people's money". (Margaret Thatcher)

So, if a corrupt socialist gov - when they run out of money (they will) - what do they do when the entire bunch of millions of citizens rebel in desperation?

Well, millions of people are murdered, or starved out. Communist china - mao and his army committed genocide - murdered MILLIONS. MILLIONS were starved out in the Ukraine - by the soviet union. Stalin.

"The Killing Fields" in Cambodia. Every time a populace is disarmed, the gov runs like a steam roller over the people.

The extreme, mentally ill arrogance ot the nazi party? millions were murdered.

Today, the mentally ill arrogance of russian henchmen troops - rapem torture, murder, genocide, in the Ukraine.

    So, that is history.

Of course, it is dumb to think that that could ever happen in America.

But, the left demands to disarm Americans. The left is betraying and slurring all Americans - veterans, conservatives, patriots, those who believe in our Constitution/Bill of Rights, those who value Life, those who vote for a president that they cannot control and intimidate, those who speak out against sick indoctrination of their kids in communis...I mean...some liberal public schools. Those who use any word the left has banned. Those who criticize the leftwing gov. Those who want to keep their own wealth. Those who prep, grow their own food. Own their own property. Those who speak out when they are told to shut up.

All those who elect a president that refuses to be their puppet, but instead tells them he is loyal to the people of America, and does hundreds of good/great things for his country like he PROMISED.

Imagine the irs having the power to storm your home and your business because they made some "clerical error" in your audit. And you just happen to be running high in the polls as a republican for governor.

You think they won't "Pres Trump" you? seriously?

but, if you toe the "red line", you can be as corrupt, vicious, and wealthy as you want, right?

as a nazi, you had total power to do anything you wanted. it would be sanctioned to be corrupt.

like hillary. the bidens. the clintons. every dem in congress. the mayors of corrupt (dem) bit cities in America. like the fbi.

like the dirty players in our gov - higgardly, brennan, comey, mueller, klinesmith, peter strzok, lisa page, vindman, william holder (AG), garland "AG",  retired gen milley, lois lerner, dirty chrissy wray....(irs going after conservative groups, remember? she recently ? apologized.), loretta lynch ("ag"), and that is just off the cuff.

there are so many more. but, arming the IRS? hiring them to be willing to use deadly force ????????????

how many different police forces does America need, for goodness sakes?

Want to know how bad this gov is?

They are trying to paint every single American who will vote against them as their enemy.

"threats to democracy" for voting against them. Especially if you vote for a president they can't own, dominate, use as another frightened puppet.

No shit. The religion right nuts job movement didn't start until 1970's. Lincoln was not a conservative. Stop trying to take credit for a progressive's accomplishments

Conservative have always been against change. That is the very definition of being a conservative. :averse to change or innovation and holding traditional values.

Progressive usually win in the long run. You are a conservative just like those civil war democrats were conservatives.

But you say you are conservative - eminently conservative - while we are revolutionary, destructive, or something of the sort. What is conservatism? Is it not adherence to the old and tried, against the new and untried? We stick to, contend for, the identical old policy on the point in controversy which was adopted by "our fathers who framed the Government under which we live;" while you with one accord reject, and scout, and spit upon that old policy, and insist upon substituting something new. -

    Lincoln's Cooper Union Address

    New York, New York
    February 27, 1860

  • What side was Abraham Lincoln a Republican or Democrat?

Lincoln, a moderate Republican, had to navigate a contentious array of factions with friends and opponents from both the Democratic and Republican parties. His allies, the War Democrats and the Radical Republicans, demanded harsh treatment of the Southern Confederates.
