  • the guy is wrong. Think of WWII and the death camps. Maybe he thinks those would have been better to keep rather than

having to fight a war, fought by Western soldiers.....

so, surrendering would have stopped all the rape, torture, murder, genocide from happening?

    no.

Iraqis "surrendered" to an evil government. Did the rape, torture, murder stop? NO.

In this world, if a nation will not fight for principles, they will be raped, tortured, murdered by those

    with no principles.

Ignoring that, like the U.S. did before WWI, and WWII, let those world wars grow into gigantic proportions, until

we had no choice but to intervene.

But the cost was tragically high. So sad.

  • Just for the record his family is ukrainian.

    wSS

  • I think Russia can be stopped.   They are failing miserably now.  Untrained, undisciplined miliary.  WW2 equipment, etc.  Ghoolies wrong.

  • Who thinks Russia stops in Ukraine ?

  • AxeA Axe

Thank you ! I don't believe anybody really does think they stop at Ukraine. Putin wants the soviet empire back, as his legacy.

  • and china would go to war even faster if Ukraine and the west surrendered.

this corrupt American gov is on track to encourage WWIII.

  • There are more Americans than Vietnamese. Did we not fight the same war in Vietnam as the Russians are in Ukraine? We lost.

Giving up some land to Russia would possibly end it?  I don't think so.

Despite the breakup of the Soviet Union, Russia didn't merely say "bye, bye Ukraine, have a nice country" eventually regaining control of the Ukraine had always been Putins main objective. He now has concocted enough "reasons" to make the move.

Putin sent 200K troops into Ukraine confident of taking control of the government in a matter of days.

We are now into year 2.

  • Hell, Russia couldn't even beat Afghanistan.

Not even close.  We never invaded North Vietnam.  We supposedly went to help South Vietnam from being taken over.  But anti war protests and a crooked South Vietnamese government doomed us.  We left in 1973 and within two years the North took over the south.  Like Afghanistan, who also were crooked.
