Dream A Little Dream With Me

The Browns Board

  • Quinn Ewers, 6'2, 210lbs, Texas

Has very quick feet and can move around the pocket well to avoid the pass rush. Quick release and the ball really pops out of his hand with minimal effort. Generates plenty of velocity to fit balls into tight windows. Footwork needs work, sometimes accuracy suffers due to this. Average size. (NFL.com)

  • Cam Ward 6'2, 223lbs, University of Miami

Ward is undeniably talented, making some of the hardest throws look effortless. He's a danger as a passer from any platform, inside or outside structure, and can makes throws from almost any angle, like Pat Mahomes. At the same time, Ward's non-traditional playmaking style comes at the cost of traditional pocket operation. (Pro Football Network)

  • Jaxson Dart 6'2, 220lbs, Ole Miss

Strong arm with velocity, also displays athleticism and the ability to throw on the run. Able to work through progressions in the pocket. Needs to work on his deep ball accuracy. Overall, Dart's intrigue as a prospect is because of his combination of natural physical tools, athleticism and arm talent, but he has to improve his effectiveness in throwing the football in high-level moments against top competition. (Pro Football Network)

  • How are their criminal records? I'll take any of the above if I don't have to feel like a piece of garbage for supporting them.

    Good idea!

Hey Dutch, please run a background check on these guys!

Personally I wouldn't touch Deion Sanders' kid with a ten foot pole.

As crazy as this sounds, he could be a bigger diva than his dad.

Edit: For some reason I'm having a problem posting any highlight videos of his. I have zero interest in the Browns drafting him, in fact, I think he and his dad are going to pull some Eli Manning shenanigans to try and maneuver his way on to a preferred team. The Browns I imagine wouldn't be that team. If anyone wants to watch his highlights, go to YouTube.

  • Shedeur Sanders 6'2, 215lbs, Colorado

Accurate passer with the quick release to pick defenses apart with short to intermediate passes. He throws to open receivers and leads them to yards after the catch. Sanders spins the ball well and showed better timing and touch on his downfield throws last season. (ESPN)

No thanks. He comes in with plenty of outside baggage like Todd Marinovich, OBJ, hell even Eli Manning.

Deion, for all his good, can bring unnecessary attention to a team that has never proven to handle outside noise very well.

    I’m enjoying watching Colorado implode.

  • And what do all five have in common? All are operating from the shotgun in a RPO offense.

  • BTW Dutch, thanks for taking the time to put this together!

    Well done! ?

I'll be adding a few more tonight, and then if anyone kind of jumps up during the season.

  • Drew Allar 6'4, 220lbs, Penn State

Tall with thick build and a little bit of athleticism to move around in the pocket. The former five star Medina, Ohio high school star operates well in the pocket, showing the ability to move around the pocket while keeping his eyes downfield. Possesses strong arm that is generally accurate. Needs to improve field vision and working through progressions. (Walter Football)

Had some trouble with Bowling Green last weekend. 13 of 20  2 TDs 1 Int and 7 yds rushing for another TD.

He's still a work in progress, for sure.

Deion needs to teach his kid the difference between confidence and stupidity.

    Ice up son! ?

We're still using trial and error on finding offensive coaches that can understand this enough to teach it, coach it, and by all means design a suitable playbook for it. That's square peg, round hole #1 before we even get to their choice/version of the right QB.

Like Watson, 4-5 years after realizing "we could have drafted him?"  They still didn't have the very 1st clue what it was about him they needed. Consequently, we're in year #3 feeling like we're watching a youth football offense coached by fathers wondering what plays from their Madden game will work.  Not only that, I'm beginning to wonder how smart this team's medical staff is with the high volumes of injuries every year.  Watson's shoulder is toast so you can tell this is all Jimmy saying make it work.

They'll end up looking to Crablegs who threw 30 INTs in 1 season before Tom Brady became very necessary to sign with ideal WRs like Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.  In doing so, Gronk came out of retirement and Winston moved on to Crawfish in New Orleans.

I'd like to see what we have in DTR.  He led us to game winning points against Pitt last year (long after his humbling 1st start).  Even worse, this ownership was more worried about Watson's feelings if they signed a veteran QB that could duplicate what Flacco did when needed.

CD, that's a gem!   I think the kid in the shoulder sling is his son that's a DB.  The irony there is he got hurt breaking a family tradition by attempting a form tackle.  I can just imagine the press conference.  "Hey Deion, what did you think of your son's form tackle?"  I'll let you know when I get the hospital bill for Wun Dum Son.

Thanks!  Pretty cool name for a QB.  If Jimmy gets him here - he'll turn him into a Dodge Dart.  He's off to a good start this year.
